Lamenting the demise of the matriarch in the modern world, the 81-year-old, who grew up in 物陰/風下d, spoke 情愛深く of his childhood when the woman was often the boss.

‘That sounds as if I want to keep women in shops! I don’t but older women abroad have 責任/義務, in the way they don’t here.’

The film adaption of his play The Lady In The 先頭 ? telling the real-life story of an eccentric woman who lived outside his house for 15 years ? is 予定 to be 解放(する)d later this year starring Dame Maggie Smith.
