Blair cagey over Bush victory

総理大臣 Tony Blair has today 辞退するd to 推測する on the 未解決の 結果 of the US 大統領の 選挙 - as George Bush （人命などを）奪う，主張するd victory after a 劇の night of 投票（する）-counting.

At ありふれたs question time, Mr Blair said MPs must "を待つ the 結果" like everyone else.

But he said 進歩 in the Middle East peace 過程, along with 僕主主義 in Afghanistan and Iraq, would be the "選び出す／独身 most 重要な 出資／貢献 we can make" to 減ずるing テロ行為.

Mr Blair wrongfooted MPs at the start of question time, when he 申し込む／申し出d "warmest congratulations to 大統領..." and paused before 追加するing "Karzai of Afghanistan".

As the laughter died 負かす／撃墜する, he 追加するd: "It was the first ever 選挙 for the Afghan people and a remarkable 尊敬の印 to them and the 力／強力にする of 僕主主義.

労働's David Wright (Telford) said he was sure

the people of Telford, Pennsylvania, would have 投票（する）d for John Kerry last night.

"Unfortunately most of their countrymen didn't do the same. When you call 大統領 Bush in the next few hours to congratulate him, will you 押し進める him very hard on the Middle East peace 過程?"

Mr Blair said: "I meant what I said a moment ago. We must を待つ the 結果 of the 大統領の 選挙 in the US.
