The Department for Education has published 指導/手引 to help schools 裁判官 whether children have reached ‘the 推定する/予想するd 基準’ in new 実験(する)s for maths, reading, grammar, punctuation and (一定の)期間ing, next May.

It follows former education 長官 Michael Gove’s introduction of a harder 国家の curriculum in 最初の/主要な schools, designed to give a ‘solid grounding’ in the basics. It put 伝統的な learning such as times (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs and grammar 支配するs at the centre of lessons.
But teachers yesterday 警告するd that the new 実験(する)s are too difficult and could 損失 children’s 信用/信任. Staff will 査定する/(税金などを)課す whether pupils are working ‘at the 推定する/予想するd 基準’, ‘に向かって’ it, or ‘at greater depth’ within it. p>
They will be 実験(する)d on using grammar and punctuation and on understanding terminology such as ‘adverb’.
Pupils should be able to read ‘正確に and fluently without overt sounding and blending’, the 査定/評価 枠組み says. It 示唆するs their 速度(を上げる) should be at least 90 words a minute.
Seven-year-olds should be able to read most words of two or more syllables and those with ありふれた suffixes and sound out unfamiliar words ‘without undue hesitation’. They will be 推定する/予想するd 正確に to (一定の)期間 20 words in a 15-minute 実験(する), such as ‘fingers’, ‘paints’, ‘thanked’ and ‘平和的な’.
Pupils must mentally subtract two-digit numbers, such as 74 minus 33, and use the two, five and ten times (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs to answer multiplication and 分割 questions. They should know what a half, 4半期/4分の1 and third are.
