Taxi drivers are used to 選ぶing up all walks of life but one cabbie got the fright of her life when she discovered a four-foot snake on her backseat.

Terrified Madge Allen leapt from her car when she saw a 有望な orange corn snake slithering out of a handbag left on her backseat.

The 67-year-old, who is terrified of snakes, said: 'People have left plenty of 動きやすい phones and wallets, but never livestock. I thought I'd seen it all.'

The slippery character had been left in the cab after a 顧客 had forgotten her handbag when dropped at Flint 鉄道 駅／配置する in north むちの跡s.

Luckily for Madge the snake is not venomous.

The driver's boss at Stanways Taxis, Sharon 吊りくさび, said: 'A woman rang to say she'd left a snake in one of our cars. I thought it was a joke.

'She told me it was white and orange and that it wouldn't bite.?

Sharon said: 'The woman said her friends would come and collect it, but nobody has been so the snake handler is looking after it.
