We wish them a wonderful day

The 失敗s have been endless, the 当惑s legion. Almost everything that could go wrong with the 王室の wedding 手はず/準備 has gone wrong.

But this is no time to dwell on the past. This is a time for happiness and congratulation. Charles and Camilla 明確に love each other. They have 耐えるd many 外傷/ショックs. The time has come for this middle-老年の couple to live 合法の and contentedly together, as so many other 離婚d people do.

And without 存在 condescending to the 未来 King, we 申し込む/申し出 the hope that Camilla will bring many 静めるing 質s to a somewhat anguished and self-obsessed Prince. If anybody can, she will be a 安定したing 影響(力) in his life.

If they can 避ける flaunting their 肩書を与えるs and honours, if they can live unostentatiously (and not too extravagantly), if they commit themselves to the paths of 義務 - as we are 確信して they will - this marriage could be the making of the Prince and the 君主国.

And if Camilla can 説得する him to get rid of some of the courtiers who have served him so ill, so much the better.

We unequivocally wish the 王室の couple a wonderful day. And a long, happy life together.

----------------------------------------

Electioneering at its most naked, cynicism at its most 露骨な/あからさまの. In a 広大な/多数の/重要な 炎 of publicity, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown descend on Birmingham to 持つ/拘留する out the prospect - or perhaps the illusion - of hope to the thousands who 直面する losing their 職業s in the Rover debacle.

Their message is breathtaking in its audacity. Though the company is racking up 抱擁する losses, though a 黒人/ボイコット 穴を開ける has opened in its 年金 基金 and though 交渉s with the Chinese seem to have been based on little more than a 麻薬を吸う dream, they (人命などを)奪う,主張する a 救助(する) is still possible.

And of course everybody hopes they are 権利. But it is difficult to 避ける the 結論 that their grandstanding last night was an attemp t - in an area 十分な of ごくわずかの 選挙区/有権者s - to take this 問題/発行する off the boil until after the 選挙.

Yet they cannot disguise the truth. It was New 労働 that opened the door to this 産業の 悲劇 and 手渡すd Rover to greedy men who let it run into the sand while outrageously 濃厚にするing themselves.

Five years ago, 交渉s were far 前進するd for the 会社/堅い to be taken over by a 投機・賭ける 資本/首都 group, which 手配中の,お尋ね者 it to become a niche 製造業者 of sports cars. That might have 安全な・保証するd Rover's 未来, in a slimmed-負かす/撃墜する form.

But with 地元の 選挙s 未解決の, New 労働 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 提起する/ポーズをとる as Rover's saviour. So the then 貿易(する) 長官, Stephen 'liar' Byers, steered the 会社/堅い into the 武器 of the いわゆる 不死鳥/絶品 Four instead.

It was a calamitous mistake. The 'Four' rapaciously 濃厚にするd themselves by £40million, while 統括するing over losses of £400million. This truly is 'the 容認できない 直面する of capitalism'. And the 政府 did nothing, until it was too late.

Only then did it 乗る,着手する on a frantic 演習 in 損失 制限: 税金 breaks, the prospect of a £100million 貸付金, even the demeaning spectacle of the 総理大臣 (犯罪の)一味ing his Chinese 相当するもの during an 選挙 and begging him to save a British company. All to no avail.

Now a 政府 that has already 統括するd over the loss of a million 製造業の 職業s - while 新採用するing nearly a million others to the unproductive public 部門 - has the effrontery to pretend it is the friend of 産業.

But this isn't a serious 成果/努力 to 促進する 職業s in the Midlands. This is an 演習 to save 労働's 肌.

Blair and Brown 申し込む/申し出 little real 原因(となる) for 慰安 to thousands of 猛烈に worried families. The Rover 労働者s have been 不正に let 負かす/撃墜する. Don't they - and the country - deserve better than this?
