Blair on the 防御の over Iraq

不一致s over the war in Iraq will never be 解決するd, 総理大臣 Tony Blair 定評のある today.

The 首相 勧めるd 野党s to move on from their relentless 尋問 about the 合法性 of the 衝突 and 示唆するd they should 焦点（を合わせる） on Britain's 未来.

"I know there is a 不一致 over Iraq," said Mr Blair.

"That 不一致 we will never 解決する. I know that it's 権利 to look to the 未来 now."

He said that Iraq now had a democratic 政府 and that everyone should support that 開発.

Asked at 労働's morning 圧力（をかける） 会議／協議会 why 司法長官 Lord Goldsmith appeared to have changed his mind on whether the war was 合法的な, Mr Blair said: "It's not a question of changing his mind.

"The 合法的な advice of the 司法長官 was very （疑いを）晴らす.

"The 結論 of it was published in the 議会の answer."

He went on: "You have got to ask yourself why this is happening today - why it is that the 自由主義の 民主党員s and 保守的なs have gone 支援する to this 問題／発行する.

"I would 示唆する to you it's because they have got nothing serious to say about the 問題／発行するs 直面するing the country for the 未来."

正直さ

Mr Blair 勧めるd 競争相手 政治家，政治屋s to 中止する 尋問 his own 正直さ over the 決定／判定勝ち（する） to go to war.

"I have no disrespect for people who 同意しないd with me over Iraq.

"I 簡単に ask them to 行為／行う the 審議 on the 条件 of whether the judgment was 権利 or not, rather than attacks on my 行為／行う and

正直さ."

"You can go on forever trying to 証明する there's some 共謀, some 陰謀（を企てる）. There wasn't. There was a judgment - a judgment that might be 権利, it might be wrong, but I had to take it.

"I believe I made the 権利 judgment. I believe the country is better with Saddam in 刑務所，拘置所 and not in 力／強力にする."

Iraqi people

Mr Blair said the best 証言，証人／目撃するs to whether Iraq was a better place with Saddam in 刑務所，拘置所 rather than in 力／強力にする were the Iraqi people.

"Listen to their 発言する／表明するs and they will tell you that the change that has come about in their country and what hope they now have."

He said he was not looking for an 裏書，是認 of his 政策 on Iraq in the 選挙. "Iraq has happened. We should look to the 未来.

"This 選挙運動 is not just about Iraq. It's about the economy, the NHS, schools and 法律 and order.

"You have the two 野党s with very little to say on those 問題／発行するs of any 信頼できる nature."

Mr Blair went on: "It's strange for me to be in a 状況／情勢 where individual people are 説 this has been a terrible thing you have done in Iraq - and the Iraqis 説, excuse me, we now have a 僕主主義 and the chance of a decent 未来 because of the work done by the British 軍隊／機動隊s and others and because the international community was 用意が出来ている to 行為／法令／行動する."

Mr Blair was asked about Tory leader Michael Howard calling him a liar.

He replied that the 保守的な s were 開始するing "a 十分な 規模 強襲，強姦 on my character" because they had nothing else to 申し込む／申し出.

"They can call me what they like," said Mr Blair.

He replied: "Nothing 原因（となる）s me any alarm about this because I know what the 司法長官's advice was."

Mr Blair was also asked if he would have taken the 決定／判定勝ち（する） to go to war if it was definitely known that Iraq had no 武器s of 集まり 破壊.

He replied: "I don't 悔いる the 決定／判定勝ち（する） I took. People have to make their own minds up about it."
