Zac Goldsmith, the multi-millionaire ecologist, was 指名するd today as 共同の 長，率いる of a new Tory 政策 group looking at 質 of life 問題／発行するs.

He joins former 環境 長官 John Gummer as leaders of the 団体／死体.

Mr Cameron, who 述べるd the 環境 and 質-of-life 問題／発行するs as "central to my political 協議事項", said he would 推定する／予想する them to look at 問題／発行するs 含むing 気候 change, 輸送（する） 政策 and energy.

Sir James Goldsmith, who 設立するd the eurosceptic 国民投票 Party, which （打撃，刑罰などを）与えるd かなりの 損失 on the Tories in the 1997 総選挙.

His mother is socialite Lady Annabel, who was Sir James's third wife.

In April, The Sunday Times put his 相続するd fortune at more than £20million.

The Eton-education 環境保護主義者, who has edited the Ecologist magazine since 1998, has already plotted a career on the Tory （法廷の）裁判s.

It was 明らかにする／漏らすd, after his 外見 at this year's party 会議／協議会, that he is 適用するing to become a 保守的な 候補者.

There was "no contradiction" between 存在 a Tory and 存在 利益／興味d in 環境の 問題／発行するs, he told the 会議／協議会.

He said: "A 保守的な who is not also in his heart an 環境保護主義者 cannot really legitimately be 述べるd as a 保守的な."

The only way to 取り組む 環境の 問題／発行するs is to get 労働 out of office, he said, 誓約（する）ing to "本人自身で do everything I can to help this party at the next 選挙".

As a green 選挙運動者 and fundraiser, he has worked on 問題／発行するs 含むing 農業, energy and 全世界の 貿易（する） 政策.

He is also a ruthless poker player. He plays poker 週刊誌 at London casino Aspinalls, once 時代遅れの Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and has a home in Chelsea and a 300-acre 有機の farm in Devon.

He married society girl Sheherazade Ventura, daughter of child actress Viviane Ventura and Sixties 資産-stripper John Bentley, when he was 23. They have thr ee children.
