Straw defends anti-terror (選挙などの)運動をする

Foreign 長官 Jack Straw today 拒絶するd (人命などを)奪う,主張するs that human 権利s were 存在 sacrificed in the fight against international テロ行為.

Mr Straw (刑事)被告 critics of the 政府's 反対する-テロ行為 政策s of 提起する/ポーズをとるing a "誤った dichotomy" and said that 尊敬(する)・点 for human 権利s was an 必須の element in 土台を崩すing the テロリストs' 控訴,上告.

"These days you often hear the 告訴,告発 made that the 規模s have tipped away from human 権利s and に向かって 反対する-テロ行為. It is a 誤った dichotomy," he told a 会議/協議会 on international テロ行為 at the 王室の 部隊d Services 学校/設ける in London.

"There need be no 無 sum equation between human 権利s and 反対する-テロ行為. 反対する-テロ行為 対策 are there to help us 保存する a

democratic and 解放する/自由な society.

"At the most basic level, 対策 which 保護する innocent 非軍事のs from an attack are supporting one of the most basic human 権利s of all - the 権利 to be alive - and they 保護する people's ability to enjoy fully their other 権利s.

"平等に, we 尊敬(する)・点 and 促進する human 権利s not only because it is the 訂正する thing to do but because that is one of the most 効果的な ways to 土台を崩す the テロリストs."

Mr Straw said that the 政府 was "絶対" committed to its 義務s under British and international 法律.

At the same time he argued for the "indispensability" of Britain's 同盟 with the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs - にもかかわらず the (人命などを)奪う,主張するs of critics that the Bush 行政 has ignored international human 権利s in its 全世界の "war on terror".

"It is a 共同 which has saved many lives of many 国籍s," Mr Straw said.

He said that 大統領 George Bush had now enshrined in 法律 the US 政府 政策 禁じるing the cruel, 残忍な or degrading 治療 of any 抑留者 in US 保護/拘留 anywhere in the world.
