Schoolgirl 罰金d £75 for lolly litter

A schoolgirl was 罰金d £75 for leaving an ice-lolly stick on a 塀で囲む.

Sorrell Walsh, 16, left the 4in 木造の Twister stick outside Manchester's Urbis centre while she went to 雑談（する） with a friend.

But as soon as she put it 負かす／撃墜する a 会議 warden 手渡すd her the 直す／買収する，八百長をするd 刑罰，罰則 notice and said if she did not 支払う／賃金 it she could be 罰金d up to £2,000.

Her mother, Vicky, from Stalybridge in Cheshire, said her daughter had been left "upset and bemused".

Sorrell, a pupil at Copley High School in Stalybridge, was slapped with the 罰金 on Saturday during her 週刊誌 trip to Urbis.

Mrs Walsh said: "She put the stick on the 塀で囲む, went to walk away and the warden （機の）カム up to her and said she'd got a £75 罰金.

"Sorrell said she would go and put the stick in the 貯蔵所 but that didn't wash and she started to cry.

"All the warden did was tell her if she didn't 支払う／賃金 it within a fortnight she could be 罰金d £2,000.

"The warden said she'd been watching her, saw her put the stick on the 塀で囲む and if she tried to say she hadn't they had her on CCTV."

She continued: "I know you shouldn't litter and she knows that, but she wasn't given any chance to go 支援する and put it in the 貯蔵所.

"Everyone says their kids are different, but I know Sorrell was going to go 支援する and put the lolly stick in the 貯蔵所.

"I'm sure if she was an adult they wouldn't have homed in on her. Maybe they have 的s and have to 問題／発行する so many 罰金s a day."

Manchester City 会議 said it operated a "無-寛容 approach" against littering and would continue to do so.

A spokeswoman said: "Manchester is a world-class city and we will not 許容する litter.

"Individuals must take 責任／義務 for helping to keep the city clean and not 推定する／予想する others to （疑いを）晴らす up after them."

The spokeswoman said Sorrell could 控訴，上告 against the 罰金, but Mrs Walsh said she did not want the 事柄 to drag on.

She said: "The 会議 have told us we can 控訴，上告 but Sorrell's got her GCSEs coming up and I think we're just going to 支払う／賃金 it.

"It's not her that will 支払う／賃金 the 罰金, it's us. She can't afford £75.

"It would be better if the 会議 had some sort of 計画／陰謀, where kids go 負かす／撃墜する and 選ぶ litter up, to re-educate them.

"How is this going to educate Sorrell when it's us 支払う／賃金ing the 罰金?"
