Hospitals spend thousands on 増強するd beds for obese 患者s

Britain's obesity 危機 had 軍隊d hospitals to spend hundreds of thousands of 続けざまに猛撃するs 増強するing beds and 増加するing 霊安室 space.

Hospitals have ordered in hundreds of new beds with 基準 models 要求するd to take more than 40 石／投石する in 負わせる.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has had to 増加する the size of it's 霊安室 because people who die and are obese have been taking up so much room in the fridges.

At the James Paget Hospital, at Gorleston, 近づく Lowestoft, in Suffolk, they have been 軍隊d to buy a specialist bed that will take a 患者 重さを計るing up to 71 石／投石する 患者 and two operating （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs that can （問題を）取り上げる to 50 石／投石する.

Obesity 専門家 Prof Peter Kopelman, who is the director of the 学校／設ける of Health at the University of East Anglia said: "When you get more and more obese 患者s, health 信用s have to 供給する the 関連した 施設s but it is a sad 起訴，告発 of our society."

Andrew Stronach, 広報担当者 for the Norwich hospital, said that it was having to spend 200,000 on refurbishing the 霊安室.

Mr Stronach said: "Part of the 全体にわたる 需要・要求する for the 霊安室 space is the 増加するing number of bariatric (obese) 団体／死体s and, as a result, we will be 任命する／導入するing 10 bariatric fridges.

"It is a かなりの 問題／発行する, not only ーに関して／ーの点でs of people's health but with the cost to the health service."

Obesity is said to cost the NHS half a billion 続けざまに猛撃するs a year, account for 18 million sick days and 30,000 premature deaths.

Nick Coveney, director of nursing at the St James Paget Hospital, said: "We have 心配するd an 増加する in obesity-関係のある 問題／発行するs, so much so that we already have 100 基準 beds that can （問題を）取り上げる to 42 石／投石する, a specialist bed that takes up to 72 石／投石する, two operating （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs that can （問題を）取り上げる to 50 石／投石する and we have a gantry that can 解除する up to 63 石／投石する."
