Met 直面するs 汚職 調査（する） over Lawrence 調査

The 独立した・無所属 Police （民事の）告訴s （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限 has 確認するd today it will 調査／捜査する the 主要都市の Police over 主張s that an officer took 賄賂s during the Stephen Lawrence 殺人 調査.

The news comes as the Lawrence family have called for a new 調査 after the 主張s that police 汚職 may have stopped their son's race-hate 殺し屋s 存在 brought to 司法（官）.

A TV 文書の （人命などを）奪う，主張するs the 18 year old A-level student's 攻撃者s got away with 殺人 because a corrupt policeman helped them.

The BBC programme - to be 審査するd on Wednesday evening - 指名するs 探偵，刑事 Sergeant John Davidson as a 'bent 巡査' who was 存在 paid by the father of 殺人 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う David Norris.

After watching the film, Stephen's father Neville said:' It is very 乱すing. But it shows that the 問題／発行する of police 汚職 can no longer be ignored. It must now be 調査／捜査するd.'

The 独立した・無所属 Police （民事の）告訴s （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限 said it was 事実上の／代理 on formal （民事の）告訴s from Stephen's mother Doreen Lawrence and the family's solicitor Imran 旅宿泊所, who took part in the BBC programme, The Boys Who Killed Stephen Lawrence.

Mr 旅宿泊所 said: 'The IPCC 調査 is 批判的な. If it 暴露するs 汚職 at the heart of the Lawrence 調査, it 再開するs the 可能性 of getting 司法（官） for the Lawrence family.'

Mrs Lawrence said:' I hope that the IPCC will 証明する that they are 独立した・無所属 and will 調査／捜査する the 汚職 like it should have done a long time ago.'

Stephen was stabbed to death by a ギャング（団） of white 青年s in Eltham, South-East London, on April 22, 1993.

Within hours, 地元の 人種差別主義者 凶漢s Luke Knight, David Norris, Gary Dobson and brothers Neil and Jamie Acourt had been identified as the likely 殺し屋s in dozens of tip-offs to police.

But 非，不，無 has ever been 罪人／有罪を宣告するd, and they still brazenly swagger around South-East London.

非，不，無 of them has ever challenged the Daily Mail's 目印 決定／判定勝ち（する） in 1997 to 指名する them as 殺害者s.

Now BBC reporter 示す Daly - who 以前 went undercover in The Secret Policeman 文書の to expose 人種差別主義 の中で police 新採用するs - （人命などを）奪う，主張するs former 探偵，刑事 Sergeant Davidson was in the 支払う／賃金 of Clifford Norris, a 地元の 麻薬 baron and the father of David Norris.

A fellow officer, former 探偵，刑事 Constable Neil Putnam, tells the programme: 'I would say that John Davidson was receiving cash from Clifford Norris by his 表現 that he was getting "a good little earner" out of it.' He 追加するd that Davidson had once passed an envelope to him 含む／封じ込めるing £500 in cash.

'Davidson told me that he was looking after Norris and that to me meant he was 保護するing him, 保護するing his family against 逮捕（する） and any 有罪の判決.'

Police 'supergrass' Putnam - who later served time for 汚職 - （人命などを）奪う，主張するs he told police that Davidson was corruptly taking money from Clifford Norris to 妨害する the 調査, but was ignored.

He also says he 申し込む／申し出d to tell the Macpherson 調査 into the botched Stephen Lawrence 殺人 調査 about the 申し立てられた／疑わしい 汚職, but was never called as a 証言，証人／目撃する.

He 主張するs his （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） was '抑えるd' to 保護する the 主要都市の Police - a （人命などを）奪う，主張する it strenuously 否定するs.

Davidson was part of the Met's 初期の 殺人 調査 team, interviewing 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うs such as Dobson.

He was 堅固に criticised in the Macpherson 報告（する）／憶測, and was later 逮捕（する）d on 疑惑 of 汚職, though never 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d. He is now retired and runs a 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 in Spain. He 辞退するd to comment about the 主張s.

The BBC film also pieces together 証拠 取り去る／解体するing the アリバイs of the five 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うs in the 黒人／ボイコット 十代の少年少女's 殺人.

にもかかわらず the 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うs all 主張するing they were at home all evening, there were at least five separate sightings of さまざまな ギャング（団） members on the streets 近づく the 殺人.

A bus 乗客, known as 証言，証人／目撃する B, told the 文書の he saw a group of five men running from the area, 追加するing: 'I am 絶対 毅然とした that I saw David Norris and one of the Acourts that night. They are definitely, definitely lying.'

Dobson also changed his story, 最初 主張するing he stayed home, then telling a 無線で通信する 駅／配置する in 1999 that he had gone out to visit the Acourts, leaving his parents at home with friends. But the BBC programme 設立する 証拠 that the friends say Dobson was there when they left.

The Acourt brothers' police interviews are broadcast for the first time, and they are heard arrogantly answering even basic questions with 'no comment'.

All of the 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うs have moved 演説（する）／住所s since the time of the 殺人, which was 述べるd movingly by Doreen Lawrence in her 調書をとる／予約する serialised in the Mail last month.

In the BBC programme Sir William Macpherson's 調査 助言者, Richard 石／投石する, said it was 'infuriating' to learn only now that Putnam had 主張s he had 手配中の，お尋ね者 to give to the 調査.

Gary Dobson, Neil Acourt and Luke Knight were acquitted of 殺人 in 1996, when a 私的な 起訴 brought by the Lawrence family 崩壊（する）d after 証拠 from Stephen's friend Duwayne Brooks was 拒絶するd.

In May 2004, a £30million five-year reinvestigation of the 事例／患者 by Scotland Yard 崩壊（する）d, with the Director of Public 起訴s 宣言するing there was insufficient 証拠 to bring fresh 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s.

Home 長官 John Reid today 述べるd the 文書の as "乱すing".

He said it was important for the Lawrence family and for the 評判 of the police that the 主張s were "（疑いを）晴らすd up" and that whoever was 責任がある Stephen's 殺人 was brought to 司法（官）.

Mr Reid told the Today programme: "The 殺人 of Stephen Lawrence was a terrible, terrible 罪，犯罪 and I think it remains a source of extreme 失望／欲求不満 for everyone, but 特に Stephen's family, that the 悪党／犯人s have not been brought to 司法（官）.

"So I think it is important for the family and the 評判 of the police, of course, that this is （疑いを）晴らすd up. I am sure that the 主要都市の Police will be considering any new 問題／発行するs raised by the 文書の."

He continued: "The 独立した・無所属 Police （民事の）告訴s （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限, I understand, have been asked to 調査／捜査する, so I will not comment on any 面 of this because it would not be appropriate other than to say it was a terrible, terrible 罪，犯罪 and I think that the 願望（する） of the Lawrence family is the same one as the 残り／休憩（する） of the people in this country, and that is to see whoever committed this terrible 罪，犯罪 brought to 司法（官）."

Scotland Yard said today that it had not yet even seen the programme.

It said the BBC had now "agreed to 許す" the 軍隊 to 見解（をとる） the 文書の late this afternoon, 事前の to broadcast.

However, the Met said it was not 推定する／予想するing any 重要な new 証拠 because if there had been, it would have 推定する／予想するd the BBC to have already passed it on to its officers.

The Met also 主張するd that にもかかわらず an "in-depth" corr uption 調査 into Mr Davidson, there was never any 証拠 of 不品行／姦通 in relation to the Lawrence 調査.

"He did not 供給する any 詳細（に述べる）s about a corrupt link between Davidson and Clifford Norris.

"Mr Davidson was 支配する to an in-depth 汚職 調査, during which there was never any 証拠 of Davidson 存在 伴う／関わるd in corrupt activity within the Stephen Lawrence 調査 or doing anything to 妨害する that 調査.

"Had we had such （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）, it would have been determinedly 追求するd."

The 軍隊 continued: "Once we have seen it (the 文書の), we will consider any 問題／発行するs raised.

"However, we are not 心配するing any 重要な new 証拠 as the BBC has a public service 責任／義務 and we would 推定する／予想する them to have already passed such （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） to police so that any necessary 調査 could be 行為／行うd without 延期する.

"To date they have not 供給するd any new 証拠 to police."
