Cameron 告発する/非難するs 大臣 over 罪,犯罪 とじ込み/提出するs

Last updated at 16:00 17 January 2007

Tory leader David Cameron has (刑事)被告 大臣s of 存在 more 利益/興味d in 保護するing themselves than the public, in the 増大するing 列/漕ぐ/騒動 over foreign 前科s.

At ありふれたs question time, Mr Cameron asked why junior Home Office 大臣 Joan Ryan was still in her 職業 in the wake of 公表,暴露s over her 役割 in the 事件/事情/状勢 and called for the 出版(物) of correspondence between the police and 大臣s.

The 総理大臣 said an 調査 was under way and 誓約(する)d that everything would be published once it was 完全にする.

He 主張するd the backlog in 過程ing 記録,記録的な/記録するs was not drawn to Ms Ryan's attention but 約束d the 役割 of 大臣s would be fully 診察するd by the 調査.

Mr Cameron said: "Last week the junior Home Office 大臣 responsible told us that she knew nothing about the fiasco of the foreign 前科s.

"Now we know she was receiving and 調印 letters about the 問題/発行する as long ago as October. Why is she still in her 職業?" he 需要・要求するd.

Mr Blair said: "The backlog, as the 永久の 長官 示すd in his 証拠 yesterday, was not drawn to her attention.

"There is an 内部の 調査 as to 正確に/まさに what took place. But let me 強調 yet again... since this has now been gone through by the 協会 of 長,指導者 Police Offic ers and those people at the Home Office, there is no 重要な public 保護 問題/発行するs that have arisen in 尊敬(する)・点 of the 前科s checks so far.

"It is 訂正する that since May 2006, when ACPO were given 責任/義務 for this, there is now a new system in place. That system is working 井戸/弁護士席. But we've had to work through the backlog of 事例/患者s.

"We are in no different position on this than any other European country."

Mr Cameron (刑事)被告 the 総理大臣 of playing 負かす/撃墜する the 真面目さ of the 事件/事情/状勢.

"You try to say this isn't serious. But we've had someone who went on to kill and a people trafficker who was (疑いを)晴らすd to work with children," he said.

"Your defence seems to be that the 大臣s knew about the problem but not the backlog - but the problem was the backlog.

"We want 大臣s who ask some questions and show some judgment, rather than just operating like 巨大(な) franking machines 調印 letters.

"You could (疑いを)晴らす a lot of this up if you published the letter that ACPO sent to the Home Office. Why don't you do that? It's probably in your とじ込み/提出する there. Go on and publish it."

Mr Blair said: "If the 事例/患者 you are referring to is the 事例/患者 that was in the newspapers at the 週末, my understanding is this particular individual, in fact, was on the police 国家の

computer.

"It 簡単に is not 訂正する to say the problem was the backlog alone.

"The problem was that there was no proper system and hadn't ever been a proper system for the 交流 of (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) between European countries.

"That has now changed and I can tell the House that, in 新規加入 to that, there is a 提案 from Germany, フラン, Spain and other countries now to connect databases across Europe. We will look very carefully at that.

"But it is 簡単に not 権利 to say that this was a problem that we had and no other country had. Every country had it. We have now introduced a new system. 事前の to 1999 there were 絶対 no 記録,記録的な/記録するs kept at all."
