The 調査する, by 消費者 圧力団体 乗客 焦点(を合わせる), comes まっただ中に インフレーション-破産した/(警察が)手入れするing rises in

ticket prices, with First 広大な/多数の/重要な Western 顧客s last week 行う/開催する/段階ing a fares strike in 抗議する at the poor service and overcrowding.

研究員s 設立する that, 国家的に, just 43 per cent of 乗客s feel the service they receive 申し込む/申し出s value for money.

Only six out of ten are 満足させるd with the 量 of space they have in which to sit or stand.

より小数の than four out of ten are happy with how train companies 対処する with 延期するs and 41 per cent

are 不満な with 洗面所 施設s.

There is also a wide variation in 基準s of service between the 私的な train 操作者s.

不満 with rail fares and overcrowding is worst in London and the South-East, where more than a 4半期/4分の1 of 乗客s complain of cramped 条件s and four out of ten are unimpressed with high ticket prices.

Just over half of long-distance travellers believe the trains are value for money and 18 per cent are 不満な with overcrowding.

Three-4半期/4分の1s of Merseyrail 乗客s are unhappy with the 明言する/公表する of train 洗面所s. The lowest 率ing for "全体にわたる satisfaction" is

given to One, which operates between London Liverpool Street and eastern England.

Some 75 per cent of One 顧客s said they were 満足させるd with the service 全体にわたる, compared

with 96 per cent for Heathrow 表明する ? the best performer.

より小数の than a third of One 乗客s believe they get value for money and nearly a third are

unhappy with overcrowding.

On First Gre at Western, 支配する of last week’s fares strike, more than a third of 乗客s feel there is insufficient room to sit or

stand. より小数の than half ? 46 per cent ? believe that tickets are value for money.

The worst 違反者/犯罪者 for overcrowding is Southeastern, where only 51 per cent of 乗客s are 満足させるd with the space on trains.

乗客s on One’s services feel they are getting the worst 取引,協定 on fares, with より小数の than a third 説 they are 満足させるd.

Anthony Smith, 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある of 乗客 焦点(を合わせる), said: "There are still big areas for 改良, not least value for money and

board."

Tory 輸送(する) 広報担当者 Chris Grayling said: "The reality is that overcrowding is already endemic on many parts of the rail 網状組織.
