British snowboarder caught in 雪崩／（抗議などの）殺到 saved by light of 動きやすい phone

A British snowboarder 立ち往生させるd at night 5,000ft up a mountain in French アルプス山脈 was plucked to safety after flashing the light from his 動きやすい phone at a 救助（する） ヘリコプター.

Thomas Murphy, 30, was 攻撃する，衝突する by an 雪崩／（抗議などの）殺到 and knocked unconscious while snowboarding off-piste in the ski 訴える手段／行楽地 of les Deux Alpes.

He woke in pitch 不明瞭 to find himself 罠にかける on a 狭くする, icy 山の尾根 just one foot wide. But finding he still had a 動きやすい phone signal, he called a friend 700 miles away in Britain who 警報d the French 救助（する） services.

Murphy, from south London, then waited till he heard the ヘリコプター and began flashing his phone in the hope of 存在 spotted.

He said after his ordeal last Wednesday night: "I woke 氷点の 冷淡な and aching in the middle of the night on a very 狭くする 山の尾根 with a sheer 減少（する） on one 味方する.

"I saw I had a phone signal so I called a friend at home and begged him to call the French 救助者s.

"But I was 納得させるd I wouldn't make it, so I called my girlfriend and family to tell them that I loved them.

"Then I heard a ヘリコプター, so I lit up my phone and began waving it in the 空気／公表する in desperation.

"I was overjoyed when it 長，率いるd my way then hovered above me and began lowering a rope."

ヘリコプター 操縦する Remi Fiorillo said he saw the light from half a mile away and was able to pinpoint Murphy's 正確な 場所.

He said: "I saw this tiny pinprick of light in the distance and began 長，率いるing there. It's a 広大な, remote area and without that, we may never have 設立する him."

Amazingly, Murphy only needed 治療 for suts and bruises and 穏やかな hypothermia and flew home to Britain the next day.

A French 救助（する） service 広報担当者 in the French アルプス山脈, where around 50 holidaymakers die every winter, said: "Mr Murphy was very lucky to have 生き残るd.

"The 危険 of 雪崩／（抗議などの）殺到s off-piste is 現在／一般に very high and we would 勧める all snowboarders and スキーヤーs to stick to the 正規の／正選手, managed ski r uns."
