A 21-year-old man who killed a much-loved 地元の footballer on the Central Coast will spend at least 14-and-a-half years in 刑務所，拘置所.

'Not only has Mr Brooks taken away the precious life of Gregory Gibbins and destroyed the life of a number of people, he has also destroyed his own life,' he said.

Mr Gibbins and two mates were helping a young woman who was 存在 悩ますd by a group of young men when the altercation quickly 増大するd.

Brooks - a 完全にする stranger - pulled a knife from his pocket and fatally stabbed the 地元の rugby league player.

Mr Gibbins lay dying in a nearby gutter as his friend Mr Swindell ran away but was also stabbed three times with a knife.

Mr Swindell ran away but stopped when he realised he could not outrun the brothers who both struck him with a knife 原因（となる）ing a 厳しい 削減（する） to his upper 権利 arm and his chest.
