With her glamorous looks and perfect size-eight 人物／姿／数字, the newly 栄冠を与えるd 行方不明になる England is a picture of perfection.

But Georgia Horsley has 明らかにする／漏らすd she kept a secret from the other contestants - she is 全く deaf in one ear.

And she almost 行方不明になるd her 栄冠を与えるing moment because she didn't hear her 指名する 存在 発表するd as the 勝利者 at the end of the three-day 決勝戦 last 週末.

"I stood on the 行う／開催する／段階 with the other six finalists and there was an uproar after the two 走者s-up were placed,' said 20-year-old Georgia, a beauty therapist and part-time model from Malton, North Yorkshire.

"Everyone was 元気づける and clapping when the 勝利者 was 発表するd. But the （衆議院の）議長 was on my 権利 味方する, where I'm 全く deaf, so I only heard a muffled sound. I had no idea who'd won and just stood there clapping with the other girls."

"After a while one of them tapped me hard on the 支援する and said, 'It's you, silly.' I was stunned and it took a moment or two before I walked to the 前線 of the 行う／開催する／段階."

"At first I was worried people might have thought me stupid or something and it was at that point I decided I didn't want to keep my deafness hidden any more."

Georgia was taken to hospital with 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うd meningitis as a two-year-old, but it was not until she was five that doctors realised she was deaf in her 権利 ear.

"As I grew up I didn't want people to know in 事例／患者 they 扱う／治療するd me 異なって or made fun of me,' she said.

"I 手配中の，お尋ね者 to be like normal kids. But it did mean that I had a hard time 審理，公聴会 the teachers at school and I was いじめ（る）d because I kept asking them to repeat things.

"いつかs peo ple thought I was 存在 rude when I didn't 答える／応じる. But as I got older I learned to stand in a way that meant people talked into my good ear."

Georgia says she decided to talk about her deafness to help 除去する some of the stigma associated with the disability. "I can show that it is nothing to be ashamed of,' she said. "It has not stopped me 達成するing my dream to be a beauty queen."

Georgia's prizes 含む a £15,000 designer wardrobe, the use of a 転換できる car for a year, a 高級な holiday and a trip to 中国 for the 行方不明になる World contest in December.
