Campbell's diaries: Iraq and the spectre of Prescott as PM

Many of Blair's 同僚s thought Britain's 決定／判定勝ち（する） to join U.S. 軍の 活動／戦闘 against Saddam Hussein would lead to his political downfall, the spin doctor 解任するs.

Campbell recounts that within minutes of seeing TV （映画の）フィート数 of 計画（する）s 衝突，墜落ing into the Twin Towers in 2001, Blair said Britain 'had

to help the U.S, that they could not go it all on their own, that they felt beleaguered and that this would be tantamount to a 軍の attack in their minds'.

At a 戦略 会合 on Iraq in April, 2002, Blair spelt out his 事例／患者 for 活動／戦闘. 'TB felt it was 政権 change, in part because of WMD, but more 概して because of the 脅し to the 地域 and the world...He said what was sure was that this would not be a popular war.'

But by then, Campbell 解任するs, there was a 'strong feeling that the

U.S. had pretty much made up their minds'.

The 'executioner' at the death of 閣僚 careers

Alastair Campbell considered himself an 'executioner' who orchestrated the 辞職s of a 一連の 閣僚 大臣s.

Campbell wrote on January 24 he "woke up with a strong sense that Peter was a goner".

Intriguingly Campbell 令状s: "He had told very few people about his own 状況／情勢 and asked me what I thought he should say.

"I said that he should say that he 直面するd a choice between career and family and chose family."
