As a PCSO trying to 論証する street cred, he's off to a bit of a wobbly start.

The uniform trousers sit far too high to 明らかにする/漏らす boxer shorts, and he wears a helmet instead of an ultra-冷静な/正味の baseball cap.

More follows...

But Police Community Support Officer Stephen Dean is hoping that his skateboarding 技術s will help him ride it out.

The officer is taking part in a police 軍隊's 最新の 率先 in the fight against 罪,犯罪.

制服を着た officers …に出席する skateboarding workshops 目的(とする)d at 12 to 16-year-olds, where they mix with the youngsters and get tuition from 専門家 スケートをする人s.

Hampshire Police tries to 確実にする at least one of a team of four constables, three community support officers and one sergeant are there for each 開会/開廷/会期, held twice a week.

PCSO Dean, 22, in particular, is keen to get on board. "It's 広大な/多数の/重要な for breaking 負かす/撃墜する 障壁s," he said.

"It lets the youngsters see a more human 味方する to the police. The kids see us 負かす/撃墜する there skateboarding and see us as 冷静な/正味の, rather than something they have to 恐れる."

The 開会/開廷/会期s take place at the skate park in 物陰/風下-on-Solent 近づく Gosport, and attract up to 30 youngsters.

Watched by an 指導者, the more proficient スケートをする人s 涙/ほころび it up on the ramps. The police are still with the novices on the promenade.

Hampshire Police 広報担当者 Nicola Collins said the 計画/陰謀, a 共同の 率先 with Gosport Borough 会議, "lets police talk to young people in a 肯定的な 状況/情勢".

She 追加するd that officers …に出席する only if there is no more serious police 商売/仕事 to を取り引きする.

"If they get called up to go to another 出来事/事件 they will go off and を取り引きする it rather than staying there and having fun skateboarding."

A 類似の 計画/陰謀 in which police organised other activities for children in the area 明らかに 削除するd 罪,犯罪 by 28 per cent last year.

And unsurprisingly, によれば skateboard 指導者 Geoff Else, it's a real laugh for everyone.

The 23-year-old from Winchester, who earns £40 an hour at the 開会/開廷/会期s, said: "The kids love seeing the police on skateboards. I think it's a mixture of the kids finding it really funny seeing a policeman on a skateboard but also having a lot of 尊敬(する)・点 for them for having a go."

PCSO Dean, 一方/合間, says he is 改善するing all the time - though he always 選ぶs for a 衝突,墜落 helmet.

"I can 適切に ride the board now, 反して before I just fell off the whole time.

"All the kids recognise me now in the street and say hello, so I think it's given me more kudos."
