Vicar (刑事)被告 of いじめ(る)ing 'lectured with powerpoint sermons'

A vicar (刑事)被告 of 疎遠にするing his congregation is said to have upset them by preaching the word of God by computer.

The Reverend Tom Ambrose used PowerPoint 贈呈s and slide shows in place of 伝統的な sermons, a 法廷 heard yesterday.

Worshippers were 特に upset that the vicar of St Mary and St Michael Church in Trumpington, Cambridgeshire, 雇うd his modern methods at the Christmas Day service last year.

Former churchwarden Janet Hendy, a member of the parochial church 会議, said: "We started having PowerPoint 贈呈s and slide shows instead of sermons, and the older people in particular do not like this, and a lot of people are very unhappy about this.

"We had this on Christmas morning 2006, but this is not what people 推定する/予想する on Christmas morning."

Mrs Hendy also said that more incense was used during services, which made some people leave the church feeling sick.

And she said she was upset that Dr Ambrose did not 協議する members of the PCC about other changes, such as the felling of five trees in the churchyard.

On Tuesday, the 審理,公聴会 in London was told that Dr Ambrose, 60, was a "liar and a いじめ(る)" who would lose his temper if he did not get his own way, and once spat at a parishioner.

The 法廷, 構成するing church, 合法的な and lay figur es, is 調査/捜査するing whether there has been a pastoral 決裂/故障 in Trumpington.

A final 決定/判定勝ち(する) on what, if any, 活動/戦闘 to take against the vicar will be made by the Bishop of Ely.

Marilyn Orson, the parishioner who (人命などを)奪う,主張するs Dr Ambrose spat at her, told the 法廷 that the congregation had been upset when cards with their innermost thoughts written on them were put up on a church noticeboard.

She said: "We were given cards to 令状 on why we felt our 約束 was 欠如(する)ing and how we could try to 改善する ourselves.

"These cards were taken up to the altar and 申し込む/申し出d to God with 祈りs. It was a very nice idea.

"The next week やめる a few of the cards, 地雷 含むd, were arranged in a collage on the noticeboard for all to read.

"People thought this was a very personal thing between them and God."

She said when she told Dr Ambrose that she was unhappy, he turned on his heel and left.

Edmund Brookes, 長官 of the PCC, said he had been vilified by Dr Ambrose in emails and during important 決定/判定勝ち(する)-making, and (人命などを)奪う,主張するd the vicar did not 慰安 him or his mother when his father died a year ago.

PCC member Clare Bartlett, a doctor, said she had become 関心d about Dr Ambrose's health.

Asked by 示す Hill, counsel for Dr Ambrose, if she considered the illness to be physical or psychiatric, she said: "I was 関心d in 事例/患者 it might have been 分類するd as 存在 psychiatric."
