British holidaymakers 直面する airport 延期するs in Spain 予定 to new anti-terror checks

Millions of travellers 飛行機で行くing to Spain from Wednesday are 存在警告するd of disruption and 列s at airports because of new 安全 checks.

The problems surround the introduction of a new anti-terror 安全政権 where 詳細（に述べる）d personal （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） is 要求するd in 前進する for all UK 訪問者s to the country.

Although the system was introduced 正式に in June, 航空機によるs were given a three month "grace" period to get themselves 用意が出来ている for the 十分な switch-over.

On Tuesday, 予算航空機による Ryanair took out adverts and 地位，任命するd 警告s on its website 警告 of the changes.

A spokeswoman said: "We've had a three period of grace to sort out collecting the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）. Now we can do it online. But from tomorrow it's compulsory. And if it's not there, people could be 否定するd 入ること／参加（者） to the country."

The 航空機による公式文書，認めるs on its website: "There may be some disruption at airports. if you are travelling to Spain, from the 19 September 2007, you are advised to 許す extra time to check in for your flight."

乗客s have to give the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） online before 飛行機で行くing, or by phoning a special number.

But Ryanair 警告するs: "乗客s who do not 供給する the 要求するd 乗客（警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） will not be 受託するd for travel."

Before travel, all travellers are 要求するd to give their 十分な指名するs, 国籍, date of birth and パスポート number and other 詳細（に述べる）s under the 前進する乗客（警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） (API) 政権. This is the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） held on the 支援する page of the パスポート.

This will 許す the Spanish 安全当局 to identify 可能性のあるテロリストs before they touch 負かす／撃墜する in their country.

In theory, 航空機によるs and holiday companies should be able to 逮捕（する） this （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） quickly by passing the パスポート over a scanner.

However, many British travel companies do not yet have the scanners in place. They have been caught out because the Spanish are bringing in the new system ahead of other EU 明言する／公表するs.

Wh ile Spain is the first country to 要求する the collection of API for 訪問者s, the 政策 will be introduced in other member countries over the next 12 months.

British 航空路s said they were able to tweak their 存在するing booing system to 逮捕（する） the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） on their website. But the 実施 of the new 政権 is 苦境に陥るd in 論争 and 混乱.

The Department for 輸送（する） (DfT) website say: "There may be some disruption at airports."

The DfT advises that 乗客s also advises 乗客s to 許す extra time to check in for their flights and says those who 辞退する to 供給（する） the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） could be banned from 飛行機で行くing.

類似して, the Spanish 政府 has made （疑いを）晴らす that the new 安全政権 will be 厳密に施行するd.

Any disruption could have an enormous 衝撃 because Spain is Britain's biggest holiday 目的地 with some 12.5 million 訪問者s a year, ahead of フラン on 9 million and the USA on 4 million.

Around two thirds of British 訪問者s to Spain will be travelling during the summer months, which means the new 政権 is 存在 introduced at the busiest time of the year.

In theory an 航空機による could be 罰金d up to 60,000 euros - ￡41,000 - per flight if it fails to gather and 供給（する） the personal （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） that is 要求するd before take-off.

The new 安全政権 is 類似の to the one introduced for travellers to the USA in 2004, which resulted in long 延期するs on both 味方するs of the 大西洋.

A number of 航空機によるs have been 取引，協定ing with the changes by asking people to 供給する the personal （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）要求するd by the Spanish at the time they make their 調書をとる／予約するing on the internet.

The major travel スパイ／執行官s have recently 最高潮の場面d the fact that new anti-terror 安全 checks and searches are already 原因（となる）ing long 延期するs.

They are angry that airport 当局 have failed to 任命する the number of 安全 guards that are needed to carry out the checks at a 急速な／放蕩な enough pace.

Chairman of the 学校／設ける of Travel & 観光旅行，事業, Steven Freudmann said: "The 顧客 is 存在 short-changed. The airport experience is dreadful. We don't want a 削減 in 安全, but we want 40 安全 gates, not four."
