Madeleine's parents: 'We can't tell the twins she may be dead'

Kate and Gerry McCann are 辞退するing to tell their two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie that Madeleine might be dead, the couple have 明らかにする／漏らすd.

"When Madeleine first went 行方不明の we told them that she was on a little trip," said Mr McCann.

"Now we tell them that she is not here at the moment."

However, Mr McCann 否定するd that he is trying to hide the truth from his children, 説: "We talk about Madeleine to the twins all the time. It's not a hidden 支配する. We answer the twins' questions.

"They are also surrounded by all of her toys and 所持品 and all the pictures of her.

"There are no 試みる／企てるs to 保護物，者 them from Madeleine and the memory of her."

The McCanns say they continue to 粘着する to the hope that Madeleine is still alive.

Although they say they have considered the 可能性 that she may be dead, the couple have 繰り返して宣言するd that they will be unable to 残り／休憩（する） until they find out what happened to Madeleine.

Yesterday Mrs McCann 明らかにする／漏らすd that にもかかわらず the 騒動 they are going through, the couple have had some 簡潔な／要約する uplifting moments since they returned to their home village of Rothley, Leicestershire.

"They were very supportive and that meant a lot for both of us.

"For both of us it was lovely to see Sean and Amelie 支援する in their own 環境 playing on the slides in the garden and messing around in the toy room.

She also 明らかにする／漏らすd she was touched to get the support of the Portuguese woman whom the McCanns have 雇うd to email them a digest of the country's newspapers every day.

"We were very touched by the fact that she's 伝えるd to us that she thinks we are innocent of any 関与 in Madeleine's 見えなくなる, and that everybody that she has spoken to in Praia da Luz feels the same.

"The only thing that will make us truly happy is that we find Madeleine or what has happened to her."

Astonishingly, Mrs McCann also 明らかにする／漏らすd that にもかかわらず the couple's ordeal in Portugal, the couple are considering returning to the country on holiday.

"There are a number of 推論する／理由s why we may go 支援する. We have friends over there we may wish to visit, 同様に as the continuing 連絡事務 with our 助言者s.

"We may go 支援する to discuss 事柄s with our 助言者s, but there is nothing planned at the moment.

"But we don't see any circumstances in which we will never go 支援する."

In the weeks after Madeleine first went 行方不明の, the couple travelled all over Europe and also to America and Morocco to raise the 事例／患者's profile.

However, yesterday Mrs McCann made it （疑いを）晴らす that the couple are not considering another European publicity 小旅行する.
