Man gets five life 宣告,判決s for 殺人,大当り family

A man was today 宣告,判決d to five life 宣告,判決s after he 認める 殺人,大当り his wife and four stepchildren.

A 裁判官 heard that former roofer and 除去 man 物陰/風下 Ford garrotted Lesley Ford, 36, and her children Sarah Tranter, 17, Anne-Marie Tranter, 16, Steven Tranter, 14, and Craig Tranter, 13, at their 孤立するd home at Carnkie, 近づく Helston, Cornwall last August.

The 法廷,裁判所 heard he killed them 分かれて with a 2ft long rope before hiding their 団体/死体s in a 支持を得ようと努めるd shed by the bungalow.

He later moved the two girls' 団体/死体s and buried them in a field four miles away.

Police were 警報d only after the family had been 行方不明の for more than a month.

Nigel Pascoe QC, 起訴するing, said the attack was calculated and without 動機.

He said: "This was not a 罪,犯罪 of passion but of savagery."

Mr Pascoe said the 罪,犯罪 was "by any 基準s an enormous, pitiful 悲劇 and a tale of true horror".

He went on the 述べる how there had been 証拠 of 暴力/激しさ in the marriage and how he was having a 性の 関係 with his eldest stepdaughter, Sarah.

によれば Mr Pascoe, Ford told police his wife was killed in the bedroom and the children died in the kitchen.

He said to officers: "There was no struggle. It was with a rope from behind and they did not know it was coming."

Ford 追加するd: "That my own 手渡すs had done - what a piece of rope has done - to five people is unbelievable.

"For the life of me I do not even understand why I did what I did. If I had planned to do what I did there is no way I would have left them on the 所有物/資産/財産 with my kids there."

Jamie Tabor QC, defending, told the 法廷,裁判所 Ford felt 完全に 孤立するd in the run-up to the attack spending a lot of time locked in his garage watching TV.

He said he was terrified Mrs Ford would leave him taking the four stepchildren and his two natural children with him.

Mr Tabor said: "This utterly horrible and 悲劇の event has no 合理的な/理性的な 動機. There is no 平易な explanation."

He said Ford had 解任するd 試みる/企てるs to 供給する a psychiatric defence to the 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s.

The 裁判官, Mr 司法(官) Hooper, 宣告,判決d Ford to life for each of the five counts of 殺人.

Ford, who wore grey shirt and had a moustache, 耐えるd and long hair, showed little emotion as he was led away.

Mr Pascoe told the 法廷,裁判所 Ford had 乗る,着手するd on a 十分な 性の 関係 with Sarah after she turned 17 in March last year.

He said: "The 被告 was 率直に and forcefully jealous of Sarah as she sought friendship with young men of her own age.

"That affords an insight into an 過度の and violent nature for this 被告 was unable to give any explanation as to why he should kill Sarah or any of the other children."

Mrs Ford had sought an (裁判所の)禁止(強制)命令 and 占領/職業 order on their Cornish home because her husband was violent and she 嫌疑者,容疑者/疑うd a 性の 関係 with Sarah.

Mr Pascoe 追加するd: "It is very likely that Lesley Ford was very 脅すd of her husband at times in the months before her 殺人.

"She was so 関心d about the 関係 関心ing the children that she 接触するd social services.

"It is a 事柄 or 悔いる that no-one from that department thereafter interviewed Sarah."

The 検察官,検事 said the date of the 殺人s had been pinpointed from 動きやすい phone text messages sent between Sarah and a work 同僚.

He 追加するd a poignant final message was sent to Sarah's phone on August 30 - the day before the 殺人s - with the words "How are you? Still alive?"

Mr Pascoe told the 法廷,裁判所 Ford was 逮捕(する)d a month after the 殺人s.

He 認める going up behind each of his 犠牲者s with a rope and strangling them.

Mr Pascoe said the 被告 (人命などを)奪う,主張するd he "flipped" after a 列/漕ぐ/騒動 with his wife about 接近 to the children.

The 法廷,裁判所 heard Ford told police he 粉砕するd his wife in the 直面する with a rounders bat belonging to his youngest daughter.

He said to officers that he went to the family garage to 冷静な/正味の 負かす/撃墜する after the 列/漕ぐ/騒動, where he 設立する the rope.

He 追加するd: "The next thing I remember is she is lying on the 床に打ち倒す dead. I do not know why or what went through me."

But Mr Pascoe 申し立てられた/疑わしい instead of 殺人,大当り on a whim, the 地位,任命する-mortem examinations and Ford's その後の 活動/戦闘s showed how calculated the 殺人,大当りs were.

He said: "The 原因(となる) of death was given as ligature strangling. They were garrotted so 正確に as to leave little or no bruising and no 損失 to the structure of the neck.

"He 認める using a rope from behind to kill each of his 犠牲者s."

The 検察官,検事 追加するd the four stepchildren had been killed in the kitchen.

Anne-Marie and Sarah had been dressed casually while the two brothers and his wife had been wearing night 着せる/賦与するs.

Mr Pascoe told the 法廷,裁判所 Ford 乗る,着手するd on a cover-up to mask the 殺人,大当りs.

He reburied the decaying 団体/死体s of Sarah and Anne Marie after police first called at his home on Saturday, September 30 last year.

He packed their rotting 団体/死体s in polythene and wore a 直面する mask - which was later 設立する 近づく the burial 位置/汚点/見つけ出す - to 転換 them in his car boot from a woodshed 近づく his home to a field about four miles away, Mr Pascoe said.

The 検察官,検事 追加するd that after he reburied the 団体/死体s on Monday October 2, he packed his two youngest children off to see their grandparents in Telford, Shropshire, ーするつもりであるing to rebury the remaining three 団体/死体s.

The 法廷,裁判所 heard he was instead 逮捕(する)d as he was returning to Helston and questioned by 探偵,刑事s at Camborne police 駅/配置する.

Mr Pascoe said: "It is やめる plain but for his 逮捕(する) this 被告 would have sought another 適切な時期 to rebury the other three 団体/死体s.

"That is why he took his children to their grandparents."

Mr Pascoe 追加するd that before he owned up to his 罪,犯罪s he 乗る,着手するd on an (a)手の込んだ/(v)詳述する cover-up. The 法廷,裁判所 heard on September 1, the 被告

cancelled a 職業 centre 任命 (人命などを)奪う,主張するing his family were 苦しむing from foo d 毒(薬)ing.

Within days he was telling friends his wife and four children had left him after a big 列/漕ぐ/騒動.

Mr Pascoe said he borrowed a pickaxe from a friend (人命などを)奪う,主張するing he had to 除去する 支持を得ようと努めるd from the shed where three of the 団体/死体s were 回復するd.

Ford also tried to return a dog his wife had bought days earlier, moved his youngest child to a new school 説 his wife would not 原因(となる) a problem and tried to 生き返らせる a 関係 with an old 炎上 まっただ中に (人命などを)奪う,主張するs "his wife would not be coming 支援する".

Mr Pascoe said that during September, the 被告 also returned Craig's and Steven's school 調書をとる/予約するs and on September 28 he tried to cash in Sarah's last 行う packet.
