Brits in Singapore mock 老年の rickshaw driver and 誘発する 怒り/怒る over YouTube clip

Three British tourists who mocked a 76-year-old rickshaw driver because he couldn't pedal 急速な/放蕩な enough for them - then 地位,任命するd a ビデオ of the struggling and panting old man on YouTube - have 原因(となる)d uproar in Singapore.

The trio also ran off without 支払う/賃金ing the £5 fare he requested and escaped in a taxi yelling expletives which were heard on YouTube as they filmed themselves leaving the scene at Clarke Quay, popular nightspot.

“Ten dollars my f***ing arse,” yelled one as the ビデオ camera showed a の近くに-up of his 直面する.

The ビデオ 肩書を与えるd “the Slowest Taxi In SE Asia” was 地位,任命するd on the popular 場所/位置 by one of the three, who called himself Bo Davis.

怒り/怒るd by the way they 扱う/治療するd the rickshaw driver dozens of Singaporean 砲撃するd the website and 地元の papers, 表明するing their feelings and what they would like to do to them.

“Don't come 支援する to Singapore,” wrote one. “We will be waiting for you.”

Another attacked them for behaving like Singapore was still a British 植民地.

And a 地元の tabloid The New Paper splashed the story on the 前線 page with two pages inside, showing the laughing 直面するs of the mocking Brits goading the rickshaw rider.

The ビデオ also showed の近くに-ups of the three Brits and the agonised look on the 直面する of the driver, Mr 物陰/風下 Shee Lam, as he pedalled as 急速な/放蕩な as he could under the 負わせる of the three men, all in their 中央の to late twenties.

They were also heard laughing and mocking him. “God, he's in fifth gear,” said one.

They had squeezed into the rickshaw at Clarke Quay for the ten minute ride along the river.

But soon it was (疑いを)晴らす they were out to poke fun at Mr. Lam along the way.

Liew Hanqing, a reporter at Singapore tabloid, The New Paper, said she managed to communicate with Bo Davis 経由で YouTube which gives his age as 26. She said: “He seemed surprised at the reaction he got from テレビ視聴者s after he 地位,任命するd the ビデオ.

“This was not いじめ(る)ing,” he told her. “I do not like いじめ(る)s or いじめ(る)ing.”

Davis told her he 地位,任命するd the ビデオ to 陳列する,発揮する his personal account which he had just opened - and didn't think anyone would look at it.

He told Hanqing: “I couldn't believe the comments - I was shocked by the 脅しs. People's reactions were shocking but 利益/興味ing.”

But later Davis said he was sorry that he had 原因(となる)d so much offence to Singaporeans and 地位,任命するd an 陳謝 online. Then he 除去するd the ビデオ.

“I am sorry for the offence 原因(となる)d, and for 存在 disrespectful to the 年輩の. But I think it's been blown out of 割合. Yes, I think we were insensitive but not 存在 いじめ(る)s.”

But the ビデオ was put 支援する on YouTube by an another angry Singaporean under the 長,率いるing UK BASTARDS.

And the 怒り/怒る continued to grow.

Mr. Lam was working again last night in the Clarke Quay area where he is licensed.

He 解任するd the 出来事/事件 with a grimace and said: “I'd almost forgotten about it, but I was very angry when they ran off without 支払う/賃金ing."

He had no idea they were making fun of him because he does not understand English too 井戸/弁護士席 and had no idea they were filming him.

“They agreed to 支払う/賃金 for the ride but then 辞退するd and ran away. I couldn't understand why because I did my best to give them a 安全な ride.

"I am a bit slow when so many people are in the rickshaw, but I am not a youngster any more, like they are. Perhaps when they get old they will know what it's like!”

“I'm not going to worry about them any more,” he said. “I am sure they are now sorry they did this to me.”
