A peer who （人命などを）奪う，主張するd £14,000 in expenses without speaking in the Lords for a year today moaned about having to turn up to 議会 'hang around' waiting to 投票（する）.

Ex-CBI 長，指導者 Lord Jones 誘発するd a 嵐／襲撃する of 批評 after he was exposed as one of the peers who rarely bother turning up to the Lords 議会 to speak or 投票（する）.

And in an astonishing defence of his paltry 投票（する）ing 記録，記録的な／記録する, he said he has more important things to do than to hang around the Lords all day.?

And he said that Lords and MPs often have no idea what they are 投票（する）ing on but just 軍隊／機動隊 through the 分割 ロビーs on the order of their party whips.

Challenged about his poor 投票（する）ing and speaking 記録，記録的な／記録する, Lord Jones?told the BBC's Sunday Politics: 'Have you ever been and listened to a 審議 in the Lords??

Lord Jones, pictured on the Sunday Politics today, said he does not often speak or 投票（する） in the Cahmber because he does not have to want to hang around 議会 all day waiting

'You will see how many people are in there...there are usually between eight and 14 out of 800.

'And you have to put your 指名する 負かす／撃墜する in 前進する and you have to be there for the whole 審議.'

He said you have to be in 議会 to 投票（する） 'and?you don't know when the 投票（する） will be called - you have no idea when the 投票（する） is going?to be called.

'Our 立法機関 is stuff 十分な of people waiting there.'?

He 追加するd: 'I am not somebody who is going to hang around in 議会's restaurants and 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業s waiting to 投票（する）.'

He was asked 直接／まっすぐに by the presenter Sarah Smith why he does not 辞職する if he thinks much of the House of Lords work is a waste of time.

But defending pocketing the £300 daily allowance without speaking or 投票（する）ing very often, he said he has other important 義務s- like taking people to lunch in 議会.

He said: 'There are many may things members of the Lords do that doesn't relate to parroting and に引き続いて what somebody else says on the same 支配する - which I 辞退する to do, or speaking to an empty 議会 or indeed hanging on, いつかs for hours, to 投票（する）.

'There are many many many other things that you do.

He said:?'Do you really think that an MP or a member of the Lords who hasn't heard a moment of the 審議, who then hears the ding ding ding of the bell, they don't know which ロビー - the whips tell them - they 港／避難所't heard the 審議 they don't even know what they are 投票（する）ing on, then they go and do it.'

He also attacked hereditary peers for people who have their elevated position because of 'who daddy was'?

His comments come ahead of the 出版（物） of a ke y 報告（する）／憶測 which will 輪郭（を描く） 提案s to 削除する the number of peers in the Lords.

There have long been calls to 改革（する） the 議会, which now has 800 peers and costs the taxpayer millions.

David Cameron's 決定／判定勝ち（する） to make many of his former 補佐官s peers when he left No10 is has fuelled 需要・要求する for 改革（する）.?
