Boy, 9, banned from school Christmas party - 'because he didn't believe in Jesus'

Teachers banned a nine-year-old boy from his class Christmas party because his parents had 閉めだした him from RE lessons.

Douglas Stewart was 軍隊d to stay at home while his friends received 現在のs from Santa and tucked into ice cream and jelly.

His parents were told he was not welcome at the 祝賀 because they had pulled him out of 宗教的な eduction classes earlier in the year.

Headmaster Ian Davidson said that because the youngster had no 利益/興味 in 宗教 he could not celebrate the birth of Christ.

Furious mother 夜明け Riddell, 38, said yesterday: "I've helped out at the Christmas party before and it's got 絶対 nothing to do with Jesus. Douglas was heartbroken he couldn't go. It was cruel."
