Lonely 惑星 writer 収容する／認めるs 'I never even visited the country I was 令状ing about'

A writer for the Lonely 惑星 guidebook series has 認める he either copied or made up large sections of his 調書をとる／予約するs.

Thomas Kohnstamm worked on more than a dozen travel 調書をとる／予約するs, 含むing the 肩書を与えるs on Brazil, Colombia, South America, the Caribbean, Venezuela and Chile.

In one 事例／患者 he said he had not even visited the country he was 令状ing about.

Shocking 発覚: Travel writer Thomas Kohnstamm has said that he didn't even visit one of the countries he wrote about for Lonely 惑星

"They didn't 支払う／賃金 me enough to go to Colombia. I wrote the 調書をとる／予約する in San Francisco," he says in a biography Do Travel Writers Go To Hell?

"I got the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） from a chick I was dating - an 抑留する at the Colombian 領事館."

Mr Kohnstamm, 32, （人命などを）奪う，主張するs in his biography that he was so short of money at one point he 株d an apartment with a Brazilian 売春婦 called Inara.

On another occasion he sold 麻薬s to buy food after （人命などを）奪う，主張するing that the 前進する he was paid barely covered the cost of his flight.

He said the company's 評判 was built on the 正直さ of its 調書をとる／予約するs and any inaccuracies would be quickly 直す／買収する，八百長をするd.

Pickard said Mr Kohnstamm's （人命などを）奪う，主張する about the 調書をとる／予約する on Colombia were "disingenuous" because he was 雇うd to 令状 about the country's history, not to travel there to review accommodation and restaurants. That work was done by two other authors.

He said: "Thomas' （人命などを）奪う，主張するs are not an 正確な reflection of how our authors work."

Kohnstamm later （人命などを）奪う，主張するd his 発言／述べるs were "taken out of 状況". He said: "I did not （不足などを）補う sections. I did not plagiarise."

The writer, who lives in Seattle, is 予定 to visit Australia soon to 促進する his new 調書をとる／予約する.

His website says he 持つ／拘留するs a masters degree in Latin American 熟考する／考慮するs and has written more than a dozen 調書をとる／予約するs for Lonely 惑星 and 与える／捧げるd to other travel sections.

Lonely 惑星 publishes more than 500 肩書を与えるs, mostly travel guides, selling more than 6.5 million 調書をとる／予約するs a year. In 2007, the BBC 世界的な bought a 75 パーセント株 in the company.
