A mother nearly died きれいにする out the family fish 戦車／タンク as she was 打ち勝つ by the world's second deadliest toxin.

Katie Stevenson, 34, had to be put into 孤立／分離 for 48 hours and have her home 調印（する）d off by a 危険な Area 返答 Team after she was 毒（薬）d by 珊瑚.

Doctors 戦う／戦いd to save her from palytoxin, a 化学製品 解放（する）d by the living organism when it comes under attack.

It 原因（となる）s 厳しい and 潜在的に 致命的な respiratory 苦しめる, for which there is no antidote. Medics were able to stabilise Katie with IV fluids and 抗生物質s.

Her husband 示す and their three daughters also had to be put in a lock-負かす／撃墜する 区, 苦しむing 類似の but いっそう少なく 厳しい symptoms, as did the paramedics who t ook them to hospital from their home in Newport, Telford, Shropshire.

救急車s bringing in other 患者s to Princess 王室の Hospital, Telford, were directed to Shrewbury instead to 避ける その上の 汚染.

Mrs Stevenson, who'd never even heard of palytoxin, is still unable to eat 予定 to an inflamed stomach from the （危険などに）さらす on July 30 and is calling for 警告 ちらしs to be 手渡すd out whenever 珊瑚 is sold.

She developed a 激怒（する）ing fever いっそう少なく than an hour after she finished scrubbing the 珊瑚 from an ornamental 橋（渡しをする） in their small, 58-litre 海洋 水槽

Katie began shivering, shaking and hallucinating from the 影響s of the 毒（薬） after she and husband 示す, 50, decided to clean the 戦車／タンク and 取って代わる 海洋 fish with 熱帯の varieties.

Within a couple of hours of scrubbing the 橋（渡しをする） under hot water she developed a sore throat. As she became more breathless and feverish she searched the internet and discovered that 珊瑚 can 解放（する） a 破滅的な toxin.

But 事例／患者s are so rare that at first neither the 非，不，無-緊急 111 service nor the doctors who 扱う／治療するd her believed she was 苦しむing anything more serious than a viral 感染.

'I was shaking from 長，率いる to toe,' she said. 'I had 一面に覆う／毛布s on me and I was 氷点の. My heart 率 had gone sky-high, and my 気温 was really high.

'Later on the doctors told me and 示す that if we'd gone to sleep that night we wouldn't have woken up.

'When I got into bed I couldn't touch myself I was that hot. I thought I was going to die. I've had nightmares ever since and I can't sleep. I've had a crap time.'

She said neither she nor 示す had any idea that the 珊瑚 in their 戦車／タンク was a 可能性のある 殺し屋.

'We bought the 珊瑚 and didn't have a 手がかり（を与える） - they don't give you any danger ちらしs or anything like that,' she said. 'You should be told about the toxins so you can know what you're touching and how to clean it.

'I didn't have a 手がかり（を与える）. We've had this fish 戦車／タンク for 12 months and always kept the 珊瑚 underwater.

'We 完全に emptied the 戦車／タンク, took out the 珊瑚 and started scrubbing it. When you scrub it, because it's alive, it lets off toxins.

'All sorts of things were going through my mind,' Katie said. 'My kids could have died. We could have died. I've not slept 適切に since.

'We had gone on holiday and our fish had died, so we decided to get rid of the 戦車／タンク. We 完全に emptied the 戦車／タンク and started scrubbing it. When you scrub it, it lets off toxins. The house had to be 完全に 非常線，警戒線d off by the police and 解雇する／砲火／射撃 旅団.

'About 10 minutes after きれいにする the 戦車／タンク, I started to get a really 乾燥した，日照りの cough. I said to 示す 'I have a sore throat coming', he said the same thing. We left it an hour, and I started getting really bad shivers. My 気温 went up to 42.5 Celsius. We called 111 and they sent an 救急車.

'It was terrifying. The paramedics who （機の）カム to get me were wearing masks. The whole A&E was 孤立するd. They told us if we'd gone to sleep, we wouldn't have woken up.'

Katie was the most 厳しく 影響する／感情d, followed by 示す and their three girls Lacey, 11, Taleisha, seven, and Skyla, one. Fourteen-year-old son Cole was staying with a cousin and was 影響を受けない.

Katie 最初 called the 111 service. 'I'd Googled 珊瑚 毒（薬）ing and had been 脅すd to death by what I read. I phoned 111 for advice and they said take paracetamol. They thought it was just a ウイルス. She said it sounded like a viral 感染. She said go to bed and said she would phone 支援する in half an hour to check.

'She called 支援する sooner than that and by then I was shaking from 長，率いる to toe. I had 一面に覆う／毛布s on me and I was 氷点の. She sent an 救急車 for me. 示す was 苦しむing but he wasn't as bad. I'd had much more direct （危険などに）さらす because I'd been at the 沈む scrubbing it under the hot tap.'

The paramedics who brought them in, 同様に as the 乗組員 who had earlier 輸送（する）d Katie, and were by then at home and sleeping, also had to brought in and 孤立するd.

'We were all one room and nobody was 許すd in,' said Katie. 'Anybody 扱う／治療するing us wore masks and 全体にわたるs and we couldn't leave for at least 24 hours.

'It was just 絶対 petrifying. Our home was 非常線，警戒線d off and had to be 深い-cleaned before we were 許すd 支援する in (on 2 Aug). They took our 重要なs off us and they let off some sort of smoke 爆弾s to get rid of the toxins.

'People need to know what they're 取引，協定ing with if they have a 海洋 fish 戦車／タンク. Nobody seems to know how dangerous 珊瑚 can be and we only 設立する out the hard way.

'They should 手渡す out ちらしs when they sell 珊瑚, 警告 of the dangers. It nearly killed us and I don't want people to go through what we went through.'

Katie and 示す decoded to 溝へはまらせる／不時着する 海洋 fish, in salt water, after returning from a holiday in Cornwall and finding three of the fish had died.

'I was きれいにする it with a 堅い 小衝突. 示す said he'd make a drink and I felt like one because I had a sore throat. He said he did too, and I started wondering why we both did.

'The we both started coughing a lot. I Googled it because we could smell something like green algae.

'We were both getting worse. 示す was about 20 minutes behind me. I started getting a high fever and my 気温 was up to 42.5C.'

West Midlands 救急車 Service said it was called to a 所有物／資産／財産 in Newport, Telford in the 早期に hours of Wednesday 31st July).

It said: 'On arrival, an 救急車 乗組員 設立する several 患者s who were feeling unwell.
