Thousands of Mail on Sunday readers have been thanked by the 退役軍人s’ charity behind the ‘Tommy in the Window’ (選挙などの)運動をする for helping to raise more than £1 million.

The 王室の British Legion 産業s (RBLI) asked the public to buy Tommy figurines and stickers and put them in windows on May 8 for the 75th 周年記念日 of Victory in Europe Day.

So far, more than 40,000 commemorative Tommy 製品s have been sold. The 基金s will be used to support the UK’s most 攻撃を受けやすい and disadvantaged 軍の 退役軍人s both at the RBLI’s Centenary Village in Kent and with 事業/計画(する)s and programmes throughout the country.

Mr Sherry said: ‘In challenging times like these, we have an even greater 責任/義務 to support those who supported us and our country.’
