Hundreds of アイルランド共和国軍 テロリストs could have 有罪の判決s quashed after the 最高裁判所 upheld a (民事の)告訴 from Gerry Adams, 合法的な 専門家s have 警告するd.

Britain’s 最高の,を越す 裁判官s 支配するd that the 1970s 刑務所,拘置所ing of the former アイルランド共和国軍 man turned Sinn Fein 大統領,/社長 was unlawful on a 専門的事項.

Adams was 刑務所,拘置所d for four-and-a-half years after two escape 試みる/企てるs from 抑留 at the Maze 刑務所,拘置所 in 1973 and 1974.

But earlier this month 最高裁判所 司法(官) Lord Kerr 支配するd that, because Adams’s 監禁,拘置 was not ‘considered 本人自身で’ by then Northern Ireland 長官 Willie Whitelaw, it was 無効の.

The 報告(する)/憶測’s author, Oxford 法律 professor Richard Ekins, told The Mail on Sunday the 最高裁判所 had ‘got it 不正に wrong’.

‘Gerry Adams should not have 安全な・保証するd this victory in the 最高裁判所,’ he said.

‘The fact that he did ? because of the 法廷,裁判所’s 誤解 of how 政府 作品 ? means there is likely to be an 雪崩/(抗議などの)殺到 of new litigation, which could lead to the 明言する/公表する wrongly 支払う/賃金ing large sums in 補償(金) to Mr Adams and others who were 拘留するd in the 1970s.

Last night Lord Butler, the former 閣僚 長官, 公約するd to raise the 問題/発行する in the House of Lords next week.

He told The Mail on Sunday: ‘In a time of 国家の 経済的な 危機, few can welcome the prospect that the 政府 might now be 強いるd to 支払う/賃金 相当な 損害賠償金 to Mr Adams and to others 拘留するd during that period.’
