The 'sudden stratospheric warming' (SSW) event happens when the 気温 in the 成層圏 急に上がるs by 50C (122F). This '逆転するs' Britain's 勝利，勝つd pattern, from the warmer west out in the 大西洋 to the east ? and Siberia.

It can take two weeks for the 影響s of a SSW to be felt. This was the 事例／患者 in February 2018 with the 悪名高い Beast from the East, which saw much of the UK gripped by travel 大混乱 and school 終結s まっただ中に 豪雪.

However Dr Hall said only two thirds of SSWs reach the surface and the 現在の one could 'just peter out'.
