Brian Robinson 認める to hospital after 衝突／不一致 with car while on his bike

Cyclist Brian Robinson - the first Briton to finish the 小旅行する de フラン - has been 認める to hospital after a 衝突／不一致 with a car while on his bike.

The 退役軍人 road racer, 83, was cycling with friends when he was 攻撃する，衝突する by a car just three miles from his home in West Yorkshire.

The 開拓するing cyclist's son-in-法律 Martyn Bolt, a 保守的な 議員 for Mirfield in West Yorkshire, said the family was 'shaken up' by the 衝突，墜落.

He said: 'He was descending a road when the 衝突／不一致 happened. He has 苦しむd 多重の bruises and lacerations and what looks like a broken collar bone. 肌 and 血 （機の）カム off.

'Your 脚 is one of the places that is 傷つける when you are 攻撃する，衝突する and bounce across the road, but unlike many cyclists on the 小旅行する de フラン, he hasn't got as much padding as some of the younger ones.

'We don't know how long he will be in hospital for, but we are hoping he will be 支援する on his bike before too long. He likes to go out twice a week to keep fit and spend time with his friend. Inactivity is not something that sits 井戸／弁護士席 with him. It has 明白に really shaken the family up.'

Robinson, who lives in the small town of Mirfield, was a trailblazer for British cycling on the Continent, becoming the first Briton to finish the 小旅行する de フラン in 1955 and the first to 勝利，勝つ a 行う／開催する／段階 in 1958.

He was an 外交官／大使 for the hugely successful Yorkshire 脚 of the 小旅行する de フラン, which saw millions of fans line the 郡's streets to 元気づける on the world's best cyclists earlier this month.
