Going 支援する to a place you have really enjoyed can be a bit of a 危険. Can you recreate those happy memories you have?

We first went to the Maldives four years ago and loved it. This time we made things more challenging by deciding to return over the Christmas break.

This was my first 'hot' Christmas.

My wife 嵐／襲撃する is from Australia, so when she was growing up, December 25 was a day spent on the beach or playing cricket on the lawn.?

I, 一方／合間, grew up in Ireland, so I'm used to wet, 冷淡な and damp days. If we were really lucky, we had snow.

As we were taking four children ? my three older ones, Jack, 18, Missy, 16, and Ali, 12 ? and our baby Cooper, who was born last April, I was a little anxious.?

How would a 非，不，無-伝統的な Christmas in the sun 控訴，上告 to them?

Fortunately, from the moment we arrived at Anantara Kihavah Maldives 郊外住宅s, they loved it.

We were delighted to discover that we even had a Christmas tree in our room ? with gifts underneath it.

It was the children's first trip to the Maldives, and for anybody who travels there for the first time, the 旅行 is a thrill in itself.?

After we arrived in the 資本／首都 Male, we were led に向かって the seaplane base for the halfhour flight to Kihavah Huravalhi.

We flew over glorious 砂漠 islands before 上陸 on a beautiful turquoise lagoon.

When we got off the seaplane and stepped on to pristine white sand, the staff were waiting, singing welcome songs, clapping and （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域ing 派手に宣伝するs ? it was magical.

Garlands were hung around our necks and we were 手渡すd glasses of fruit punch. We suddenly felt very cosseted.

Next （機の）カム the excitement of 存在 taken to ou r 郊外住宅 ? we had an over-water one which was fantastic.?

In the bathroom there was a glass 床に打ち倒す, which made for an 利益／興味ing, if わずかに unnerving, experience.

On the way to the 郊外住宅 we were able to see uninhabited islands surrounded by 暗礁s which we were told are home to 海がめs, eels and beautiful 珊瑚 形式s.

Anantara forms part of the Baa Atoll, which is home to baby sharks, stingrays and every fish you can imagine. It meant the snorkelling was exceptional.

嵐／襲撃する and I really only enjoy holidays if we are sure the children are having a good time. We needn't have worried here as the staff worked tirelessly to make 確かな everybody was happy.

The food was phenomenal, the service 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の, the 天候 brilliant, the sea perfect. We were floating on 空気／公表する.

And any 苦悩s about Christmas were swept away when Father Christmas arrived at the 訴える手段／行楽地 on a 白人指導者べったりの東洋人-boat!

At Anantara they take dining to new levels. At Sea, an underwater restaurant, you dine in a fish 戦車／タンク with a 新たな展開: you're inside the 戦車／タンク and the fish are outside looking in at you.

One of its attractions is the world's first underwater ワイン cellar. ワイン with depth, you might say.?

But when we were in Sea, we couldn't bring ourselves to order the fish ? in the circumstances it would have been wrong somehow.

We liked 解雇する／砲火／射撃, a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, while Salt, an Asian fusion restaurant, was also superb.

All the children loved the food on 申し込む／申し出 and couldn't have been happier at meal times.

The new Sky 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業, with its own DJ, was very 冷静な／正味の place and it features an 観測所. We could have sat there all night looking through the telescope at the 星／主役にするs.

My 恐れるs that the children ? 特に the older ones ? would be bored by staying on a small island were soon 解任するd.

There was something going on all the time and lots of other children were there, so they were never short of people to hook up with for a game of beach volleyball, for example.

One day we all went on a boat trip which 許すd us to snorkel out on the 暗礁 ? we were 権利 の中で the 海がめs.

In the evenings, we loved the open-空気／公表する cinema, watching movies under the 星／主役にするs.

The 訴える手段／行楽地 also had a 冷静な／正味の kids' club ? Ali had a brilliant time making sushi.

In the evenings, there was a pool party with a DJ, and on New Year's Eve there was a 禁止（する）d and 花火s.?

Did I succumb to the 誘惑 of 成し遂げるing on New Year's Eve? Of course I did ? I can't help myself. I sang my 攻撃する，衝突する When You Say Nothing At All, which seemed to go 負かす／撃墜する 井戸／弁護士席.

For the children to enjoy a holiday experience like the Maldives is 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の.

When I was growing up in Ireland, we never left the country ? Killarney was as good as it got for me. Every summer, we'd go for a couple of weeks to a 迎賓館 or a B&B, and we had the most brilliant time.?

It's やめる a leap from Killarney to the Maldives ? unless you go there, it's impossible to believe such a wonderful place 存在するs.?
