BA 乗客s pack their own lunches

Bosses at Gate Gourmet used megaphones to summarily 解任する kitchen 労働者s 行う/開催する/段階ing an 非公式の strike at Heathrow. They had been 抗議するing at casual 労働者s 存在 brought in for the holiday season.

When the afternoon 転換 辞退するd to go 支援する to work, they were 解雇(する)d. Gate Gourmet 供給するs the hot meals, water and first 援助(する) 道具s on long-運ぶ/漁獲高 British 航空路s flights.

About 8,000 乗客s on 41 flights were 影響する/感情d. BA said it put in place a contingency 計画(する) as soon as the news filtered through.

A 広報担当者 said: 'Our 乗客s have the 選択 to travel, re-調書をとる/予約する or receive a refund. We are doing everything we can to 確実にする our flights 出発/死 on time. That's our main 強調.

But the union (刑事)被告 the company of deliberately 製造業の the 論争. A 広報担当者 said extra staff had never before been taken on while 永久の 労働者s were under 脅し of redundancy.

Sean Cunningham, his wife Ursula and their children Colanne, 16, and Cale, 13, were about to board a flight to New York last night when they were told to 在庫/株 up on food food.

Mr Cunningham, from Hertfordshire, said: 'I'm not happy. 'If we'd known about it beforehand, it would have helped. The first we heard about it was when we checked in.

'The 航空機による gave us £70 in 保証人/証拠物件s for the four of us to get something to eat. We've eaten here and we're going to buy 軽食s for the flight. There's not much else we can do. So it's New York on Coke and crisps. 'It's Colanne's birthday today, so this is a big 失望 for her.'
