The strange 事例／患者 of the 'ghost 計画（する）': Family tells of shock after arriving at the airport for a 逃亡 to Portugal... to be told that their flight didn't 存在する

Birmingham Airport isn't somewhere you'd 普通は associate with ghostly goings on - but one family turned up there for a flight they'd had 確定／確認 for that didn't 現実に 存在する.??
It sounds like the 陰謀（を企てる） of a sci-fi movie, but is 現実に the real-life experience of father-of-two Darren Hall, from Birmingham.
Along with his wife and two children, Darren arrived at Birmingham Airport on Saturday, July 25, for a 10-day 逃亡 to Portugal - with 調書をとる／予約するing 確定／確認 in 手渡す - only to be told that the flight they were 調書をとる／予約するd on 簡単に wasn't scheduled.

'Three hours before the scheduled flight time, we walked into the airport to look at the 出発 board to find our flight and check-in desk,' Darren told MailOnline Travel.
'But I couldn't see flight ZB408 to Faro 出発／死ing at 13:15 showing anywhere on the board. There was, however, a flight to Faro 予定 out at 14:50.'
Thinking that they might have 行方不明になるd an email notification, Darren asked his wife to check their 確定／確認 email and the date of 出発.
混乱させるd, they quickly 長，率いるd to the 君主 顧客 service desk to enquire.
Having used travel スパイ／執行官 lowcostholidays to 調書をとる／予約する, they 推定する／予想するd to take a 13:15 flight to Faro - and had 確定／確認 to 証明する it
'The lady at the desk seemed as puzzled as we were,' he 解任するd. 'She said: "We don't do flights to Faro at 13:15."'
Darren asked if, perhaps, they had been 調書をとる／予約するd on the 定期的に-scheduled 14:50 flight, instead - but, after 完全に checking the 乗客 manifest, the 君主 代表者／国会議員 確認するd that the family was not 確認するd on that flight either.
'At this point, my wife and kids started to get very upset at the thought of not having a holiday,' he 追加するs.

'They said, it 'wasn't their fault,'' Darren said.

After a slight luggage debacle - his wife's luggage had to be 除去するd and, in doing so, the 航空機による accidentally also 除去するd his son's 捕らえる、獲得する - Darren and his two children were on their way.

But, as it turns out, the entire ordeal can be せいにするd to simple human error.
Lowcostholidays 収容する／認めるs that the entire 出来事/事件 was 予定 to 'an unfortunate human error in the system'
A 代表者／国会議員 for lowcostholidays tells MailOnline Travel that they were disappointed to hear about the problems that the Hall family experienced.
'An 緊急の 調査 was taken place by the team who can 確認する that there was an unfortunate human error in the system between lowcostholidays and their flight 供給者, resulting in a failed 調書をとる／予約するing for these flights, which did not come to light until the family arrived at the airport,' lowcostholidays said in a 声明.
'君主 arranged flights for three of the party for that day and organised accommodation and flights for Ms Sheasby the に引き続いて day to join her family on holiday. lowcostholidays apologises for the inconvenience and 苦しめる this error 原因（となる）d and are 供給するing a 十分な refund of the flight cost.'?
