Here’s a film that isn’t just unsettling to watch, but was 深く，強烈に upsetting to 行為／法令／行動する in.
Colin Farrell, playing a heart 外科医 whose life 落ちるs apart at the 手渡すs of an eerily calculating 十代の少年少女 (Barry Keoghan), has 認める that by the time filming （機の）カム to an end, he felt 適切に depressed.
The director and co-writer is Yorgos Lanthimos, whose last film, 2015’s The Lobster, was an enjoyable absurdist tale that ran out of ideas. Almost the opposite 適用するs here. At first it seems tiresomely opaque, but 徐々に it 発揮するs a 冷気／寒がらせるing 支配する.
A lavishly-bearded Farrell plays Steven, who seems contentedly married to Anna (Nicole Kidman), with whom he enjoys a decidedly kinky sex life.

They have two much-loved children. But for some 推論する／理由, unexplained until 井戸／弁護士席 into the film, he is in thrall to a strange 青年, ツバメ (Keoghan).
Is it something 性の? 徐々に, the 推論する／理由 for their 半端物 関係 becomes appallingly （疑いを）晴らす, and by the end, with ツバメ （権力などを）行使するing 前向きに／確かに supernatural 力／強力にするs, Steven has been 軍隊d to make a 決定／判定勝ち（する） that should never 直面する any parent.
Lanthimos has cleverly 地雷d the storytelling traditions of his native Greece, for this is an adaptation of one of the legends of King Agamemnon, who accidentally killed a sacred deer and had to carry out an unspeakable sacrifice by way of atonement.

The director gives 十分な vent to his usual mannerisms; for example, his characters speak almost robotically, which is deliberately at 半端物s with the emotional nightmare into which Steven and his family are 急落（する），激減（する）d.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I liked The 殺人，大当り Of A Sacred Deer, but I 大いに admired it. Lanthimos is nothing if not a singular film-製造者 and the 業績／成果s are uniformly excellent.
Keoghan wasn’t really able to showcase his talent as the 非軍事の lad who （機の）カム a cropper in Dunkirk earlier this year, but the young Irishman is unforgettably creepy here.
