As many events were starting to get 支援する up and running again, the fifth lockdown was 発表するd last week and then 延長するd.

Even if Victoria comes out of lockdown next week, 制限s 衝撃ing events will likely remain in place for several weeks.

'It's a pretty desperate 状況/情勢,' Save Victorian Events group co-創立者 Simon Thewlis told AAP.

'In Victoria, our 産業 has 効果的に been shut for the last eight weeks. Just as we were about to start to have some events, we got whacked with lockdown five and we're 支援する to square one again.'

On Wednesday, Major Events 大臣 ツバメ Pakula 発表するd up to $25,000 each for 適格の events and $10,000 for public event 供給者s through an 拡張 of the 衝撃d Pub lic Events Support Program.

'We're making sure the 商売/仕事s most 影響する/感情d by the lockdown have a chance to 現れる from it in decent 形態/調整, so they can continue to play their 決定的な 役割 as 雇用者s and drivers of Victoria's economy,' he said.

However, it only 延長するs to events with more than 1000 people.

'For the 大多数 of the event 産業 there is nothing there for them,' Mr Thewlis says.

'There are so many communities in Victoria who are seeing their events の近くに 負かす/撃墜する because of these lockdowns,' he said.

'It's time for the 政府 to stop looking at the big end of town.'

Run Melbourne was 予定 to go ahead with about 17,000 関係者s on Sunday, but had to be cancelled on Tuesday when the lockdown was 延長するd.
