Taurine may slow ageing 過程, 研究 示唆するs

Taurine ? a nutrient 設立する in foods with protein such as meat or fish ? may slow 負かす/撃墜する the ageing 過程, scientists have said.

A team of international 研究員s 設立する that taurine 補足(する)s slow ageing in mice and monkeys ? 延長するing life and health in middle-老年の mice by up to 12%.

The scientists said their findings, published in the 定期刊行物 Science, make the 事例/患者 for その上の 熟考する/考慮するs with human 裁判,公判s.

熟考する/考慮する leader Vijay Yadav, assistant professor of genetics and 開発 at Columbia University Vagelos College of 内科医s and 外科医s, said: “Human society is ageing.

“It is associated with changes in molecular composition within us.”

He 追加するd: “For the last 25 years, scientists have been trying to find factors that not only let us live longer, but also 増加する healthspan, the time we remain healthy in our old age.

Taurine is an amino 酸性の 設立する in meat, fish and eggs, and plays an important 役割 in supporting 免疫の health, nervous system 機能(する)/行事 and energy 生産/産物.

Some energy drinks have taurine 追加するd to them, 予定 to its hypothesised 影響 on mental and 運動競技の 業績/成果.

Previous 研究 has shown taurine 欠陥/不足 to be associated with ageing but Prof Yadav said it was not (疑いを)晴らす whether it 活発に directs the ageing 過程 or is just a 乗客 going along for the ride.

For the 熟考する/考慮する, the 研究員s looked at 血 見本s and 手段d the taurine 集中s at different ages in mice, monkeys, and humans.

They 実験(する)d nearly 250 女性(の) and male mice around 14 months old, about 45 years of age in people 条件, giving half of them a taurine 補足(する) and the other half a 支配(する)/統制する 解答.

The team 設立する that 消費するing taurine 補足(する)s 増加するd 普通の/平均(する) lifespan by 12% in 女性(の) mice and 10% in males.

This translates to three to four extra months for mice, 同等(の) to about seven or eight human years, the 研究員s said.

The team also 設立する that daily intake of 500 and 1000 milligrams of taurine 補足(する) per キログラム of 団体/死体 負わせる was also associated with 改良s in strength, 調整, and cognitive 機能(する)/行事s in the rodents.

Prof Yadav said: “Not only did we fi nd that the animals lived longer, we also 設立する that they’re living healthier lives.”

The team then 実験(する)d the 影響s of taurine 補足(する)s in middle-老年の monkeys and 設立する that those taking it every day for six months also showed 改良s in their 免疫の systems, bone 濃度/密度 and 全体にわたる metabolic health.

The 研究員s then looked at data from a 熟考する/考慮する 伴う/関わるing 12,000 European adults 老年の 60 and over.

They 設立する that people with higher taurine levels were healthier, with より小数の 事例/患者s of type 2 糖尿病, lower obesity levels, and lower levels of inflammation.

Prof Yadav said: “These are 協会s, which do not 設立する causation but the results are 一貫した with the 可能性 that taurine 欠陥/不足 与える/捧げるs to human ageing.”

Lastly, the 研究員s 手段d taurine levels of male 競技者s and sedentary people who took part in a strenuous cycling workout, before and after the activity.

They said a “重要な 増加する” in taurine levels was seen in both 競技者s ? such as (短距離で)速く走る人s and endurance 走者s ? and sedentary people.

Prof Yadav said: “No 事柄 the individual, all had 増加するd taurine levels after 演習, which 示唆するs that some of the health 利益s of 演習 may come from an 増加する in taurine.”

Based on their findings, the 研究員s said anti-ageing human 臨床の 裁判,公判s, which are already 調査/捜査するing 麻薬s such as metformin and rapamycin, should also 含む taurine.

Prof Yadav said: “Taurine 豊富 goes 負かす/撃墜する with age, so 回復するing taurine to a youthful level in old age may be a 約束ing anti-ageing 戦略.”
