For connoisseurs of hypocrisy and irony in politics, the past few days have been ones to treasure. I'm thinking of the fallout from the House of Lords' belated 受託 of the 政府's 計画／陰謀 to give those arriving here 不法に in 'small boats' a one-way ticket to Rwanda.

If, by that, he means the values exemplified by the 会・原則s of the EU, a few days later he must have been confounded to see that in the European People's Party (EPP) manifesto for the European 議会 選挙s in June was a call for 'a 根底となる change in European 亡命 法律'.

特に, the EPP ― the largest group in the European 議会 and the party of which the （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限 大統領, Ursula 出身の der Leyen, is a member ― 誓約（する）d: 'We want to 器具／実施する the conc ept of 安全な third countries. Anyone 適用するing for 亡命 in the EU could also be transferred to a 安全な third country and を受ける the 亡命 過程 there.'

It is true that the UK 最高裁判所 had 法令d that Rwanda was not a '安全な third country', because it had on occasion expelled 亡命 探検者s it had 以前 受託するd. So the 政府 then 調印するd a 条約 with Rwanda in which the African country agreed that it could only return someone it had taken from the UK 支援する here, and to no other country.

This 修正するd form of the 初めの Rwanda 計画／陰謀 is what finally （疑いを）晴らすd all 議会の 障害物s a week ago.

The same day, 総理大臣 Rishi Sunak said this would give the go-ahead for the 'relentless, continual 過程 of 永久的に 除去するing people to Rwanda, with a 正規の／正選手 rhythm of 多重の flights over the summer and beyond until the boats are stopped'.

I had always supposed that it would not be until such flights 現実に started, and with such regularity, that there would be the deterrent 影響 （人命などを）奪う，主張するd by the 総理大臣. But it seems I was wrong.

Last week, the Irish Foreign 事件／事情／状勢s 大臣 Micheal ツバメ complained that 80 per cent of 亡命 探検者s now arriving in Ireland had crossed over from the North, and that this striking statistic was the 'Rwanda 影響'.

'They're leaving the UK,' he sa id, 'and they are taking 適切な時期s to come to Ireland, crossing the 国境 to get 聖域 here and within the European Union, as …に反対するd to the 可能性のある of 存在 国外追放するd to Rwanda … maybe that's the 衝撃 it [the Rwanda 計画／陰謀] was designed to have.'

Oh, the irony. You see, there is no 国境 invigilating the passage of people between the North and the 共和国 because the European Union ― 勧めるd on by the Irish 政府 ― had 主張するd on this during the fraught Brexit 交渉s.

The 推論する／理由 was that they regarded the 課税 of any such 国境 checks, even a 選び出す／独身 直す／買収する，八百長をするd camera, as a 危険 to peace, in the 状況 of the Good Friday 協定.

As PM, Theresa May agreed to this, にもかかわらず the 関心 の中で Brexiteers that this would 量 to an open 支援する door for 移民／移住 from within the EU into the UK. Yet now it is Dublin which is ruing the consequence.

So the Irish Taoiseach, Simon Harris, has asked his 法務大臣 to find a way of changing the 法律, to enable 亡命 探検者s coming to Ireland from the UK to be returned. Problem is, last month the Irish High 法廷，裁判所 had 支配するd that the UK was itself 'not a 安全な country' to return migrants, 正確に because of the Rwanda 計画／陰謀.

As that 広大な／多数の／重要な Irishman Oscar Wilde wickedly said of Dickens' account of the death of Little Nell, you would need a heart of 石／投石する not to laugh.

In reality, we can't know how much of this problem for Dublin is truly the result of the Rwanda 計画／陰謀: it is always tempting for them to 非難する 'Brexit Britain' rather than the EU for their own 政策 problems.

But The Times interviewed a Jordanian, Mohammad Tbishat, who, the paper said, had been '誘発するd to 逃げる' from Birmingham to Dublin, 経由で Belfast, because he had heard about the Rwanda 国外追放 計画／陰謀: 'If they sent me to Rwanda that would be very bad,' he said.

The paper also spoke to a number of would-be '漂流難民，ボートピープル' in Calais, 含むing an Iranian called Armin Rezaie, who said: 'We are looking for a better life and we thought we could get it in Britain. But if they are going to send us to Rwanda, I may stay in フラン.'

This is the point which always needs to be made to those who regard the Rwanda 計画／陰謀 as immoral. Not only is the 不法に-trafficked 旅行, which it is designed to 阻止する, a frequently deadly one (once again 論証するd last week with the death of five migrants during an 試みる／企てる to cross the Channel), these people have already reached a 安全な country where their lives are not at 危険: フラン.

Sunak's 政策 is certainly more humane than that 始める，決める out by the 副 Leader of 改革（する） UK, Ben Habib.

Last week, after the party's Leader, Richard Tice, had 公然と非難するd the Rwanda 計画／陰謀 as useless and said that, instead, the 'boats' should just be 'turned 一連の会議、交渉／完成する' 中央の-Channel, I explained here how this was indeed the 初めの 保守的な 計画（する）.

However, the Boris Johnson 行政 （機の）カム up against the 王室の 海軍 and the 王室の 国家の Lifeboat 会・原則, both of which 主張するd this idea was not only impractical but also 潜在的に lethal. The Rwanda 計画／陰謀 was designed only after the 'turn 支援する' idea was 拒絶するd by the 海軍.

In an interview on Talk TV, Habib (a)手の込んだ／(v)詳述するd on his party's 'turn 支援する' 政策, arguing that if one of the dinghies was 沈むing, those in it should not be 選ぶd up by 王室の 海軍 or 国境 軍隊 大型船s, but somehow 供給（する）d, 中央の-channel, with another dinghy.

影をつくる／尾行する Home 長官 Yvette Cooper recently 繰り返し言うd that, come what may, 労働, if elected to 政府, would discontinue such flights to Rwanda.

And what, asked his interviewer, Julia Hartley-Brewer, if they scuppered that 交替／補充 dinghy? Should they be left to 溺死する? Habib 答える／応じるd: 'If they choose to scupper that dinghy then, yes, they have to 苦しむ the consequences of their 活動／戦闘s.'

It does not 反映する 井戸／弁護士席 on 改革（する） UK that it should 支持する a 政策 which, on this account, would 現実に 要求する the 海軍 or 国境 軍隊 to leave people to 溺死する when they could be 救助（する）d.

But it is the 労働 Party which will be the most exposed in its 対立 to the Rwanda 計画／陰謀, should the flights, against the 半端物s, take place on the 規模 輪郭（を描く）d by Sunak.

Not only have Keir Starmer and his team argued that the 政策 will fail to 行為／法令／行動する as any sort of deterrent, the 影をつくる／尾行する Home 長官, Yvette Cooper, recently 繰り返し言うd that, come what may, 労働, if elected to 政府, would discontinue such flights to Rwanda.

Instead, 労働 says that it would find a way of getting the European Union to take 支援する those migrants who （機の）カム here 不法に.

The best of luck with that. No, if the Rwanda 計画／陰謀 really does take off (in every sense), 労働 will find that their friends in the EU will be looking to emulate Rishi Sunak's approach.

As for British 投票者s, I 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う the 圧倒的な 大多数 won't believe it until they see it ― the 計画（する）s 現実に going to Rwanda, that is. But the political ground is already 転換ing.
