Fred?Sirieix has 株d his excitement after his teenage daughter was selected for the Team GB 飛び込み squad at the Tokyo Olympics.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, the French First Dates 星／主役にする, 49, who lives with his partner and their two children in Peckham, said he's 'so proud' of 16-year-old Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix.

'We're so proud of her, she's working so hard and it's only 31 days now until the start of the Olympics. The sad thing is nobody can go with her because there's no 観客s 許すd,' he told hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray.

'I would [be there], last year when the Olympics were supposed to take place I had all my time 調書をとる／予約するd, and then it was cancelled and 延期するd to this year, I already of course had my time off, everybody's got their time off to go and support Andrea, but sadly nobody's 許すd.

'I think it's for the best, at the end of the day it's more about the 競技者s and for them to compete in the sports that they've chosen and for them to excel, I think it's amazing that they are about to do that.'

Fred 追加するd that only a month-and-a-half ago Andrea was competing at the World Cup in Japan with Team GB, and the team then travelled straight to Budapest for the European 選手権s where they 'did very 井戸／弁護士席' - and Andrea took home a silver メダル.

'It was a 広大な／多数の／重要な 準備, and now it's 30 days to the big day for the Olympics, it's a dream come true for them,' he said.

Watching a ビデオ of his daughter 成し遂げるing an impressive dive during the segment, he exclaimed: 'Look at that dive! I'm going to be bias but that's a 10.'?

Andrea, who is the youngest member of the 12-person Tokyo Team GB squad, 以前 told how her?maitre d' father is 'really encouraging'.

'My family do everything for me,' she 認める. 'I watch First Dates from time to time, I think it’s やめる funny. But when my school friends say, “Oh my gosh, your dad is a celebrity’, I go, “Oh no he’s not, he’s just my dad”.

‘My dad and I have different fields ? he is on TV and I jump off a 飛び込み board. My dad tried it and he can tell you it's not the easiest thing to do!

‘I want to show and I want to broadcast to everyone that I want to be the best. The dream for every 競技者 is an Olympic メダル. I'm so excited for this experience.’

While Fred is French, Spendolini-Sirieix’s mother is Italian and the young diver ? who was 指名するd last year’s BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year - was born and raised in London.

She did not try the sport until after London 2012, where her new team-mate Tom Daley won the first of his two Olympic bronze メダルs.
