A 'despicable' carer who stole £30,000 from a 無能にするd man she was meant to be looking after sobbed in 法廷,裁判所 yesterday as she was 刑務所,拘置所d for more than two years.

Rachel Dawes, also known as Rachel Evans, spent the money on アマゾン Prime, Netflix, betting shops, jewellery and takeaways over the course of three-and-a-half years.

The carer (警察の)手入れ,急襲d the bank account of '攻撃を受けやすい' Gary Stewart, who had learning disabilities, while fooling his family into thinking she was looking after him by 招待するing him 一連の会議、交渉/完成する for Christmas Day.

This resulted in another carer at her 雇用者?Wirral-based 下落する?Care Ltd. visiting Mr Stewart on March 26, 2021.

The other carer, Wendy Beckett, was shocked to find him living in 'uninhabitable' 条件s, with no food and just 38p of 緊急 cash left on the メーター.?

裁判官 Katherine Pierpoint said: 'You dipped into Mr Stewart's account when and wherever you fancied.... His family had themselves 表明するd 関心 when his phone had been 削減(する) off.?

'Little did they realise this was because you had (疑いを)晴らすd his bank account. They thought you were there looking after him.?

'They were pleased to know you had 招待するd him to your house for Christmas. You tricked them into believing you were caring for him.?

'On the 直面する of it, it may appear you were caring for him, but when one knows what you were doing behind the scenes, it paints a very different picture.

'As a result of your behaviour, Mr Stewart was left in a very difficult 財政上の 明言する/公表する. He was left hungry at times and didn't have enough electricity or heating in his 演説(する)/住所.'

She 宣告,判決d Dawes to two years and six months in 刑務所,拘置所, and made a 抑制するing order banning her from 接触するing Gary Stewart for five years.?

She said: 'This is an 極端に serious 事柄. You were in a position of 信用. You were 推定する/予想するd as part of your 職業 to 保護(する)/緊急輸入制限 Gary Stewart. You 乱用d that 信用 in the most serious way.?

'You used his money whenever you fancied it, dipping in when and where you 手配中の,お尋ね者, and that had a direct and serious detrimental 衝撃 on him.'
