一方/合間, Eid al-Adha is celebrated 概略で two months after Eid ul-Fitr and 同時に起こる/一致するs with the end of Hajj - the period where many イスラム教徒s go on 巡礼の旅 to メッカ in Saudi Arabia.

The 指名する means 'feast of the sacrifice' and is 一般に believed to be the more holier of the two Eids.

Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime activity that is a 義務 for those who can afford it, and who 港/避難所't already 成し遂げるd it.

Christmas and Eid ul-Fitr will 落ちる on the same day in 2033

Two of the most important 宗教的な holidays in the world, Christmas and Eid, are going to 落ちる on the same day in 2033.

予定 to the use of the lunar calender to dictate the start and end of Ramadan, the Islamic relgious event moves 今後 by about 10 to 11 days every year.

It has been calculated that Ramadan will end on December 23 just before Christmas Day on December 25. However, as Eid is a three day holiday it will overlap with Christmas.

The dates most recently overlapped in 2000 when Eid fell on December 27.

The origin of Ramadan

The history of Ramadan, which derives its 指名する from the Arabic root 'ar-ramad' which means scorching heat, dates 支援する over 1000 years.

Communal 祈りs and gift-giving: How do イスラム教徒s 示す Eid ul-Fitr?

Eid is traditonally celebrated as a three day 公式の/役人 holiday in イスラム教徒 nations. The festivivites start with a 祈り services that 普通は takes place before 夜明け.

It is traditoanl to eat something 甘い services before the paryers which typically take place in open areas.

After 祈りs, イスラム教徒s usually spend the day visiting 親族s and 交流ing gifts such as new 着せる/賦与するs or money. Many also 寄付する to those who are いっそう少なく fortunate.

In some countries, families visit graveyards to 申し込む/申し出 their 尊敬(する)・点s to family members 権利 after the morning 祈りs.

There is also often a party atmosphere in イスラム教徒 cities during Eid as the cities are decorated with lights to 示す the end of Ramadan.

The importance of the moon during Ramadan and Eid

The start of Ramadan is 決定するd by the sighting of a 三日月 moon which 示すs the beginning of the Islamic lunar month.

Once the 三日月 moon is sighted, イスラム教徒s start the month long 急速な/放蕩な. The end of Ramadan is 示すd by the next sighting of a 三日月 moon which signals the beginning of Eid al-Fitr.

As a 三日月 moon was not visilbe after evening 祈りs on Monday, イスラム教徒s then 急速な/放蕩な one more day to 完全にする a 30-day month.

In the UK, HM 航海の Almanac Office says the moon should easily be 明白な on Tuesday April 9 and?Wednesday April 10.

Why does the date of Ramadan change every year?

Unlike 宗教上の holidays such as Christmas, Ramadan does not have a 直す/買収する,八百長をするd date. This is because the date is decided using the Islamic calender which is based on the cycles of the moon. Although it does always 落ちる on the ninth month of the Islamic calender.

For example, next year Ramadan will start on March 1 2025 and Eid al-Fitr will then be celebrated, 概略で, 30 days later on March 30.

How do I wish someone happy Eid?

If you want to wish someone you know a happy Eid, you can say: 'Eid mubarak' to them.

When translated into English, it means 'blessed festival' or 'blessed feast'. It is the most ありふれた way people 表明する their 祝賀 to family and friends.

Typically, the polite 返答 to 'Eid mubarak' is to say 'Khair Mubarak', which wishes the person good will in 返答.

Another way of wishing someone a happy Eid is to say: 'Eid sa'id'

And some people say Jazak Allah Khair to celebrate the end of Ramadan. This translates to: 'May Allah reward you with goodness.'

Is it Eid al-Fitr or Eid ul-Fitr?

Both spellings are 訂正する and the choice of whether to use 'al' or 'ul' often depends on 地域の preferences. Both 条件 still 言及する to the same holiday whichever is used.

The difference between the words is that Eid ul-Fitr could be translated to mean 'Festival of Breaking the 急速な/放蕩な' or 'Festival of 急速な/放蕩な-Breaking.'

While Eid al-Fitr is 一般的に used to 言及する to the 祝賀 of Eid.

Both words remain interchangeable when referring to the holiday.

How will イスラム教徒s celebrate Eid ul-Fitr and what is Zakat ul-Fitr?

Zakat ul-Fitr, or the Zakat of Breaking the 急速な/放蕩な of Ramadan, is the special obligatory alms paid by all イスラム教徒s at the end of the Ramadan 急速な/放蕩なing month.

It is also called?Sadaqat al-Fitr?“the Charity of Breaking the 急速な/放蕩な” of Ramadan and イスラム教徒s have to give a 部分 of their wealth to those in need.

Zakat ul-Fitr must be done before the Eid 祈り, which is?only to be 成し遂げるd in congregation, building family and community spirit.

イスラム教寺院s throughout the UK will host Eid 祈りs at different times of the morning.

Eid 祈りs also often take place in large, open spaces, such as fields or halls.

Once Eid 祈りs are finished, イスラム教徒s will 伝統的に visit their 親族s and friends to wish them a happy Eid and often 交流 gifts or 甘いs.

This has lent itself to another 指名する for Eid al-Fitr, the Festival of 甘いs.

Indonesia celebrates Eid as over 190 million people move across the country to 参加する festivities

Millions of Indonesian イスラム教徒s are travelling on packed airplanes, trains and buses and they 長,率いる home to celebrate Thursday's Eid al-Fitr festival with family.

It is believed the number of 旅行者s 長,率いるing home could reach 193 million, or nearly 72% of the 全住民.

Indonesia's Transportation 省 推定する/予想するs this to be the largest movement of people in the country's history.

Indonesia is the world's most populous イスラム教徒-大多数 country.

Every year, there is a 広大な exodus of people from 都市の 中心s across the 広大な 群島 to more 田舎の hometowns to celebrate the end of the イスラム教徒 急速な/放蕩なing month of Ramadan. The homecoming tradition is known as 'mudik.'

Saudi Arabia and the new moon sighting

The end of Ramadan is 伝統的に 示すd by the sighting of a new moon 29 to 30 days after Ramadan started. This means イスラム教徒s often have to wait until the night before Eid until the date can be 立証するd.

As a new moon was not sighted on Monday after evening 祈りs in Saudi Arabia, イスラム教徒s in the Middle East 急速な/放蕩なd for an extra day.

When the sighting has been 立証するd, Eid is 宣言するd on television, 無線で通信する 駅/配置するs and at イスラム教寺院s.
