  • Australia is 直面するing a men's 暴力/激しさ 疫病/流行性の
  • NSW to 開始する,打ち上げる a review into 明言する/公表する's 保釈(金) system
  • Critics say more 緊急の 活動/戦闘 should be taken?

Her 隣人 John Torney, 39 - who was on a?community 是正s order after recently 存在 解放(する)d from 刑務所,拘置所 for 強襲,強姦 - has been 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d over the 申し立てられた/疑わしい attack.

Just a day earlier, young mother and childcare 労働者 Molly Ticehurst, 28, was 設立する dead in her Forbes home after 恐らく 存在 殺人d by her ex-partner, Daniel Billings, 29.

The 支援する-to-支援する 悲劇s have reignited calls for greater 活動/戦闘 to be taken to 戦闘 暴力/激しさ against women, with the NSW 政府 発表するing a review of the 明言する/公表する's 保釈(金) system in light of Ms Ticehurst's death.

However, critics say the review will take months to 完全にする and 緊急の changes need to be made now to save women's lives.?And their argument is 支援するd by 統計(学).

On 普通の/平均(する), a woman is killed every nine days by a 現在の or former partner - but 2024 has so far signalled an alarming 上向きs 傾向.?

1. Ankle bracelets

Electronic 監視するing 装置s are already used across Australia for 拘留,拘置, 制限 and 監視 目的s of 違反者/犯罪者s.

The GPS 装置s are 抵抗力のある to tampering and breaking the ひもで縛るs 生成するs an 即座の 警報 to 当局 監視するing the person.

But while they are commonplace for those on 保釈(金) for offences such as 麻薬 取引,協定ing, they are yet to be rolled out 国家的に for 国内の 暴力/激しさ 違反者/犯罪者s.

In 2022, the 連邦の 政府 発表するd $20million in 連邦/共和国 基金ing would be 株d by the 明言する/公表するs and 領土s to 裁判,公判 GPS 監視するing of high-危険 国内の 暴力/激しさ 違反者/犯罪者s.

The cash 上げる (機の)カム after a Tasmanian 操縦する program was incredibly successful, 論証するing a '76 per cent 減少(する) of high-危険 出来事/事件s, 81 per cent 削減 of 脅しs and 100 per cent 減少(する) in 報告(する)/憶測s of stalking'.?

The 熟考する/考慮する also 設立する 80 per cent of 違反者/犯罪者s also 'did not re-感情を害する/違反する' in the six months after.?

Australian 明言する/公表するs and 領土s are in さまざまな 行う/開催する/段階s of the 裁判,公判 and rollout 段階, with Western Australia 予定 to introduce 法律s in coming months which would see GPS trackers made 義務的な for repeat 国内の 暴力/激しさ 違反者/犯罪者s.?

However, Geoffrey Watson SC, director at the Centre for Public 正直さ, argues it should not be hard to あわてて rollout GPS trackers.?

Mr Watson argued the 政府 can be quick to 制定する change when it wants to, such as with the Howard 政府's gun 改革(する)s after the 1996 Port Arthur 大虐殺.?

'The police, with some 監督 by the 法廷,裁判所s, need to be given the 力/強力にする to 支配(する)/統制する the men (刑事)被告 of these offences,' he wrote in the Sydney Morning 先触れ(する). 'Such 支配(する)/統制する orders are already 井戸/弁護士席-recognised.

'They are 適用するd in many circumstances where there is only a 疑惑 of 危険, and in the absence of a 有罪の判決 ? 保釈(金) 法律s and 条件s are obvious examples.

'In other words, it is nothing new, and it can be done.'

2. 強化するing 報告(する)/憶測ing 条件s

報告(する)/憶測ing 条件s are already used throughout the Australian 犯罪の 司法(官) system to 監視する 違反者/犯罪者s on 保釈(金), on 非,不,無-custodial 宣告,判決s and 仮釈放(する).?

Mr Watson argues that making 報告(する)/憶測ing 条件s more stringent could help police officers 伸び(る) more 支配(する)/統制する over high-危険 違反者/犯罪者s and 阻止する them from committing その上の offences.

3. Legalisation of pepper spray?

A 嘆願(書) calling for the 連邦の 政府 to legalise pepper spray began 広まる in the wake of the Bondi Junction Westfield 大虐殺.

現在/一般に, it is only 合法的な to carry pepper spray in Western Australia.

The suggestion has been 議論の的になる, with some commentators 尋問 whether pepper spray would have been 効果的な in stopping the shopping centre attack.

In the 国内の 暴力/激しさ 予防 community, 専門家s have also raised 関心s about the dangers of legalising pepper sp ray.?

For example, pepper spray can have serious 味方する 影響s and even result in death.? There are also 関心s about the 複雑さs of legalising pepper spray for gender.

4. Changing the language around 国内の 暴力/激しさ: 'Intimate partner テロリストs'
