When asked if she felt 圧力 to 代表する Indians, she said: 'Not really, because I’m an actor. I’m not travelling far and wide to India to save the country.?
'But when you watch and read up on the history of India and what her people have gone through, it does feel 激しい.'
Simone said it was the 'best feeling' when fellow brown women told her how much it meant to them to see themselves 代表するd onscreen.?
She continued:?'代表するing Indian women has been such a joy. Ninety-nine per cent of the people who recognise me and come up to me are women of colour, and that’s the best feeling because they’re so excited for me.?
'They’ll 抱擁する me and t ell me how 冷静な／正味の it is to see brown women on-審査する. It makes me feel 安全な and seen, and even though I may be on a street in London, I suddenly don’t feel like I’m part of a 少数，小数派 community.
'I know that there can be 圧力 on women who are 代表するing their communities in the arts. Maybe one day I will do a 事業／計画（する） where it’s like, “I need to get this 権利.” But for now, I’m able to just feel happy and celebrate it.
