Shock: Women were dealt a その上の 年金 blow today

In the 政府's Spending Review today, Osborne 明らかにする/漏らすd that the 明言する/公表する 年金 age for women will rise from 60 to 65 between 2016 and 2018, so that it matches the male 退職 age.

Then, と一緒に the male 明言する/公表する 年金 age, it will rise to 66 by 2020.

But 年金s consultancy Towers Watson said some women will have to wait nearly two years longer compared to 初めの 計画(する)s.

Under the old 計画(する)s, women born on 6 April 1954 could have got their 明言する/公表する 年金 when they were 64 years and one month old. They will now have to wait until they are 66.

The new 時刻表/予定表 涙/ほころびs up more lenient 計画(する)s favoured by the 労働 party. Under 法律制定 passed in 1995, the 女性(の) 明言する/公表する 年金 age was 始める,決める to rise from 60 to just 65 by 2020, with その上の 増加するs happening more slowly.

Joanne Segars, 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある of the 国家の 協会 of 年金 基金s, said the changes will have a 'particular 衝撃 on women, 特に those in their late 50s, who may have to review their 退職 計画(する)s.'

'The 貿易(する)-off for a later 退職 must be a better 明言する/公表する 年金, 特に as the UK's is the worst in Europe,' she says.

無分別な Bhabra, of 年金s 顧問s Towers Watson, says: 'The biggest losers from today's 告示 are some of the women born around 1954.

'A woman born on 5 April 1953 will still be able to (人命などを)奪う,主張する her 明言する/公表する 年金 when she is just 62 years, 11 months and one day old. A woman born a year and a day later will have to wait until she is 66. The extra three years of income could be 価値(がある) more than £15,000 just looking at the basic 明言する/公表する 年金 and could be much higher.'

It comes just a day after a 報告(する)/憶測 showed a 世代 of young women 直面する 普及した poverty in 退職.

More than half of women under the age of 50 収容する/認める that they are not saving enough for 退職, 場内取引員/株価 a rise of eight 百分率 points on last year, によれば an 年次の 報告(する)/憶測 by Scottish 未亡人s.

現在/一般に, two-thirds of pensioners living in poverty are women ? the 報告(する)/憶測 示唆するs this 不均衡 could now より悪くする.

'Women are still very much second-class 国民s when it comes to 年金s - and what is worse is that it's barely even 定評のある,' says Dr Ros Altmann, director-general of Saga Group and former 助言者 to No.10.
