Insiders believe that Hill will base Metro Bank on a model he developed in the US, called 商業 Bank. 商業's philosophy centred around the 前提 that they were retailers not 銀行業者s, valuing the service 供給するd to 顧客s 極端に 高度に. This even went so far as calling their さまざまな banking 出口s '蓄える/店s', and not 支店s.

蓄える/店s? Are you serious?

絶対. Hill sought to borrow some of the 急速な/放蕩な food 原則s used in his Burger King franchises and 適用する them to banking. 焦点(を合わせる)ing on 'convenience', he 拡大するd 商業 from one 場所 to over 435 in thirty-three years - it was やめる a success.

The idea is that Metro Bank 顧客s will be able to walk in and out with a 経常収支, debit card, credit card etc. half an hour later. And 計画(する)s to stay open longer than any other bank mean 顧客s could be doing this after work, too.

So these '蓄える/店s' will look unusual?

Unusual only because they'll be designed to 申し込む/申し出 改善するd 顧客 service. Metro 目的(とする)s to do this by 除去するing the physical 障壁s between 顧客s and staff. As an example, there is talk of the 傾向 of deposit boxes. For an 年次の 料金 of around £80 顧客s could keep 価値のあるs in a 二重の-重要な 安全な: the 顧客 新たな展開s one 重要な, the bank 経営者/支配人 the other, the door opens to 許す the box to be taken into a 安全な・保証する and 私的な room to を取り引きする the contents.

Are they going to 拡大する quickly?

Metro Bank will operate 排他的に within the bounds of the M25. At this very moment two Central London 支店s are 存在 用意が出来ている in Holborn and Earls 法廷,裁判所. And rumour has it that they may open for Valentine's Day (however, these rumblings may have been conjured out of Metro's 'Love your bank' スローガン...). タイミング depends, of course, on the ifs and whens of the FSA 認めるing Metro a license to operate.

Over the next two years, Metro 計画(する)s to open 12 支店s in London; and by 2020, it 目的(とする)s to operate at over 200 支店s in and around the 資本/首都.

So it will stay open after hours, you say?

Yes, Metro Bank ーするつもりであるs to open from 8am to 8pm, 同様に as all 週末, and 申し込む/申し出 its 顧客s old-fashioned 直面する-to-直面する services and 顧客-friendly, in-支店 amenities, such as lavatories.

Hill's スローガン for 商業 Bank in the US was 'America's most convenient bank', and it 定期的に topped JD 力/強力にする 調査するs for 顧客 satisfaction. So 推定する/予想する more of the same once Metro gets off the ground.

< p>And what type of 製品s will be 利用できる?

Apart from 基準 貯金 and 経常収支 offerings, mortgages will be sold to those with at least a 25% deposit. And crucially, any 貸付金s Metro Bank 申し込む/申し出s to its 顧客s will be 基金d from the 貯金 it takes in. 報告(する)/憶測s 示唆する it is also considering 開始する,打ち上げるing 料金-based 経常収支s in a 企て,努力,提案 to make sure its 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s are 'transparent'.

Does this mean more 倫理的な banking?

井戸/弁護士席, it could be a start. There won't be any 125% 貸付金s, and forget big 特別手当s and risky 賭事ing with money the bank doesn't have. Although 個人として owned, it will 株 some of these things in ありふれた with building societies and community banks.

Who is the bank 目的(とする)d at?

For starters, the 現在の 計画(する) doesn't account for those outside of the M25 belt ? which will 疎遠にする a 広大な 大多数 of Britons. More 特に, Metro's 焦点(を合わせる) will be on 供給するing better service for its 顧客s, 申し込む/申し出ing the convenience of a 支店, with 十分な internet 支援する-up, and quick, friendly advice. This means its 率s might not feature at the 最高の,を越す of the best buy (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs, but they should be 公正に/かなり 競争の激しい. 年輩の 顧客s, those without internet 関係, or savers and borrowers pining for better 直面する-to-直面する interaction are all high on the 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる), 関わりなく wealth.

It will have a website, though, 権利?
