Barclays 引き上げ（る）s overdrafts by up to 5%

Barclays has 引き上げ（る）d overdraft 率s for around two million 顧客s, にもかかわらず 発表するing bumper 利益（をあげる）s earlier this week and （ーのために）とっておくing £1.5bn for staff 特別手当s this year.

The bank is 増加するing 利益／興味 率s on overdrafts by up to 5% from the end of April, 影響する／感情ing around one fifth of the group's 経常収支 顧客s.

Earlier this week Barclays 地位，任命するd a 92% jump in pre-税金 利益（をあげる）s to £11.6bn, helped by the sale of its 基金 管理／経営 arm and the strong 業績／成果 in its 投資 商売／仕事 ? Barclays 資本／首都.

Peter Vicary-Smith, 長，指導者 (n)役員／(a)執行力のある of 消費者 group Which?, was 批判的な of the 率 引き上げ（る）. He said: 'The base 率 hasn't gone up and Barclays have just 発表するd bumper 利益（をあげる）s, so many of their 経常収支 支えるもの／所有者s will be angry at this sudden 増加する in overdraft 率s.

'Any Barclays 顧客 who's unhappy with this 率 引き上げ（る） should 投票（する） with their feet by shopping around and switching to a 経常収支 that best 控訴s their needs.'

The group's 卒業生（する） 新規加入s account will see the biggest 増加する, with the authorised overdraft 率 rising from 9.9% to 14.9%, followed by the 新規加入s Active and First 新規加入s accounts, which will both see an 増加する of 3.4% to 18.3%.

The other 経常収支s 影響する／感情d by the 増加する are the group's 首相 Life, 現在の Account 加える, Barclays Bank Account with (n)役員／(a)執行力のある overdraft and Platinum Barclays Bank Account.

Two of the accounts are no longer 利用できる to new 顧客s.

Barclays defended the move. A spokesperson said: 'We are continually reviewing our 率s to 確実にする we get the balance between the cost of 供給するing the overdraft and the associated 危険 and on that basis some of our 経常収支 overdrafts will 増加する from the end of April.

'The 大多数 of our 顧客s will not be 支配する to any overdraft 増加するs as our 基準 Barclays Bank Account remains 不変の.

'The daily 増加する for someone using an authorised overdraft, beyond their 利益／興味 解放する／自由な 限界, on their 現在の Account 加える account of say £600 is 1p.'
