SALLY HAMILTON REPLIES:?Yours is just one of several worrying 事例／患者s that have come to light recently 伴う／関わるing 顧客s of Revolut, all of who m had their accounts （警察の）手入れ，急襲d by fraudsters using sophisticated account 引き継ぎ／買収 techniques.
An account 引き継ぎ／買収 happens when a 犯罪の masquerades as a bona fide 顧客 ― usually having 得るd personal 詳細（に述べる）s by ‘phishing’ or other means.
The scammer takes 支配（する）／統制する of an account, perhaps by 追加するing their own 装置 to the account or by 提起する／ポーズをとるing as the bank to 説得する the 犠牲者 to download ソフトウェア that 許すs them to run the account remotely on the 顧客’s own computer.
As in your 事例／患者, the 犯罪の will typically do this by calling the 犠牲者 over the phone and 提起する／ポーズをとるing as a member of the bank’s 詐欺 team to 警告する about a 違反 in 安全, which they say 要求するs 緊急の 活動／戦闘.
Once they have 支配（する）／統制する of the account, the fraudster then 今後s money to other accounts by bank 移転 or 支払い（額） cards, with the 基金s often ending up abroad. Scammers can 的 all 肉親，親類d of accounts ― such as from banks, 動きやすい phone companies and credit card 会社／堅いs.

Not long afterwards, website AccountingWEB 明らかにする／漏らすd the 事例／患者 of an accountant who had £53,000 plundered from her Revolut account in the same way. 非，不，無 of these losses was reimbursed by Revolut.

In your 会社／堅い’s example, the 犠牲者 was 接触するd by text by someone 提起する／ポーズをとるing as a member of Revolut’s 詐欺 team, who 説得するd him someone was trying to 接近 the company’s account without authorisation and that he must 行為／法令／行動する 速く to stop them.
The crooks were so 納得させるing that he took the steps they recommended in a 企て，努力，提案 to 保護する the 会社／堅い’s 基金s. But this advice was 単に the first step in the scammers’ cruel ruse to steal from the account.
A text arrived, 明らかに from Revolut’s 詐欺 department with a code, which your 同僚 fatally 重要なd into his phone. This enabled the fraudsters to pass その上の 安全 対策, take over the account and 乗る，着手する on their spree from another 装置, sending 支払い（額）s out of the account totalling £85,213.

I know there are many who believe 犠牲者s of such scams should not be reimbursed. It is their mistake, they 示唆する. But I feel 異なって. These people were manipulated and controlled by 高度に trained fraudsters.
Through natural 恐れる for their 財政／金融s they 行為／法令／行動するd quickly in the belief they were 保護するing their company’s money. Revolut may not be the only account provider 的d, but scammers have seemingly discovered a weak link with it that needs to be 強化するd 緊急に.
