The MG logo might look familiar, but the brand is very different to the British marque popularised by cars like the MGB, Midget and Metro between the 1960s and 1980s.

Are Britons considering buying Chinese EVs??

PSVH: Here on the ground at the Beijing モーター Show, I can see that the price war of EVs in 中国 is still 十分な on. EVs are much much cheaper in 中国 than Europe 予定 to many different 補助金s on 製造業の, but also sales are 付加価値税 解放する/自由な making them really affordable.

There is a lot of choice in the £20,000 to £35,000 範囲, and on 最高の,を越す of that, overcapacities are building quickly, 圧力ing prices to be 押し進めるd 負かす/撃墜する even その上の.

However, there is やめる a lot of 恐れる from the Chinese brands that are already in Europe around 可能性のある 関税s from the EU. The only ones a bit more relaxed are the ones that also have 非,不,無 EVs in their 大臣の地位 selling in Europe, such as MG or Chery, which is 開始する,打ち上げるing their Omoda brand in Spain and the UK.

Another 観察 from the show is the 衝撃 that Chinese 消費者s are having on the market - they are much more 需要・要求するing than Western 消費者s when it comes to model refreshes. There is an 期待 of a refresh every 9 to 12 months, which 圧力s brands to 絶えず refresh and 改善する their models.

As a result, lots of the new EV models introduced at the show advertise with very long 範囲s of 600 to 700km (373 to 435 miles) and 急速な/放蕩な 非難する from 20 to 80 per cent in 20 to 30 minutes. There is also lots of talk around 乗り物s with 範囲 extenders, as they 申し込む/申し出 more 柔軟性 and they are cheaper to 製造(する).
