There?were no war cries; no thinly 隠すd 脅しs of the 'river to the sea' variety.
Few were in the mood for 詠唱するing but when they did, there was just one chorus: 'Bring them home.'
And 2,500 miles to the East, a four-year-old girl was の中で the handful who were indeed 長，率いるing home ? albeit to a home without the two parents 遂行する／発効させるd in 前線 of her very 注目する，もくろむs on October 7.
And another 200 人質s still remain locked in their subterranean hell.

Yesterday, that 集団の／共同の anguish finally took to the streets as the 資本／首都 行う／開催する／段階d the greatest show of support for British Jews since the 戦う／戦い of Cable Street in London's East End nearly 90 years ago.

Except that these were not all Jews. Far from it. The whole point of this march was for Brits of all 約束s and 非，不，無 to show 団結 with a community 耐えるing a ten-倍の 増加する in anti-Semitic 出来事/事件s since October 7.
By far the most ありふれた 旗，新聞一面トップの大見出し／大々的に報道するs on 陳列する，発揮する were those 説: 'Shoulder to shoulder with British Jews.'?

The large 大多数 had been 発言する／表明するing compassion for the blameless 非軍事の 全住民 of Gaza, but it had not been hard to 位置／汚点／見つけ出す the usual 痕跡s of anti-Semitism ? 掲示s with the 星／主役にする of David in a 貯蔵所 or 言及／関連s to Hitler or Nuremberg; 詠唱するs with lines about 'Gaza/intifada' and the favourite dog whistle of the Jew-baiters: 'From the river to the sea, パレスチナ will be 解放する／自由な'.?

Yesterday was the polar opposite. This had not 始める，決める out to be any sort of 反対する-demonstration.?
The only thing about which it was avowedly 'anti' was anti-Semitism itself. They had not come to 選ぶ a fight.?
There were plenty of Israeli 旗s ? 加える plenty of Union 旗s and, interestingly, やめる a few 伝統的な Iranian 旗s (the Persian model with the lion and sun in the middle).
However, I saw no anti-Palestinian messaging beyond a 選び出す／独身 掲示 説 'F***?Hamas'.?
It was より数が多いd by several dozen 説 'Hummus Against Hate'. That seemed closest to the spirit of this 抗議する: To embrace and defend Jewishness rather than to attack that which 脅すs it.
At the 手始め I was struck by a 十代の少年少女's 旗，新聞一面トップの大見出し／大々的に報道する 説: 'Fed up with hiding my Jewishness at school.'?
No one was hiding it yesterday. I saw kippahs (skull caps) galore.
The 行進者s had gathered outside the High 法廷，裁判所 in the 立ち往生させる. Boris Johnson and wife Carrie 加える baby were spotted, though the ex-PM was there to show support rather than 持つ／拘留する 前へ／外へ in 前線 of the マスコミ.

長，指導者 Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis 特に lamented the 苦しむing of Palestinians 同様に as Israelis, before 警告 that 'a 脅し to the Jews is a 脅し to our entire society'.
The East End-born actor Eddie Marsan, who is not ユダヤ人の and 述べるd his 宗教 as '多様制', reminded the （人が）群がる that they had been here before.?'This is not the ユダヤ人の community's first rodeo,' he said, 反映するing on the way the East End had come out to defend the Jews against Sir Oswald Mosley's 国粋主義者／ファシスト党員s in 'the 戦う／戦い of Cable Street' (where Marsan's father was born that same year). Now, London ? and Britain ? was having to do so again.
It ended with a stirring 'enough is enough' from Countdown's Rachel Riley, some singing and even a little dancing.?
Dignified and uplifting it might have been but no one 手配中の，お尋ね者 to call this a success. の近くに to 涙／ほころびs, the 放送者 Vanessa Feltz summed it up to me: 'I am sadder than I have ever been that we have had to be here at all.'
