EXCLUSIVEWhy スキャンダル at 'horror movie' funeral home may NOT be an 孤立するd 出来事/事件: Undertakers' 疑わしい practices that can lead to '備蓄(する)ing' of 分解するing 団体/死体s... and the 二塁打ing of their 利益(をあげる)s are 明らかにする/漏らすd by PAUL BRACCHI

The pavement outside the main 支店 of 遺産/遺物 独立した・無所属 Funeral Directors in 船体 is ?covered in flowers.

In the 中央 of the floral 尊敬の印s, growing bigger by the day, is a small pink teddy 耐える with pink 屈服するs which has been here from the start, ever since police (警察の)手入れ,急襲d the 前提s last week and discovered a horror story behind the now shuttered-frontage.

In all 35 団体/死体s that should have been sent for 火葬 weeks ago ― 含むing at least one 団体/死体 恐らく left to 分解する ― were 除去するd from the building in Hessle Road by 法廷の officers in white boiler 控訴s.

The 広げるing 演劇 in this corner of 船体 is reminiscent of an episode from the BBC's Silent 証言,証人/目撃する or the American series CSI.

Behind it, so many 苦しめるing repercussions for grieving families: some 恐れる they have been given the wrong ashes after …に出席するing a service at 遺産/遺物's Chapel of 残り/休憩(する) . . . others have not received any ashes at all . . . one woman is ?納得させるd the 棺 she kissed at her father's funeral was empty . . . the 不確定 left another 親族 feeling '肉体的に sick'.

There is even 疑惑 that the 棺 for a much loved grandmother may have been 'second-手渡す'.

It was 'dented' and the 指名する plaque was not 適切に 大(公)使館員d.

The ripple 影響 this is having on 船体 is ?epitomised by the fact that more than 1,500 people whose loved ones were 扱うd by ?遺産/遺物 have 接触するd a 献身的な police hotline 始める,決める up in the wake of the (警察の)手入れ,急襲.

And the pink teddy 耐える?

There is no 大(公)使館員d 公式文書,認める or card to 示す if it was left in memory of a child or by a child for a 出発/死d family member.

Either way, it is surely the first time that flowers and 尊敬の印s, now an all-too familiar sight at 道端 and pavement 神社s in towns and cities across Britain, have been left outside, and not inside, a High Street undertaker.

The 除去 of 死体s followed a tip-off to Humberside Police which raised 関心s about '貯蔵 and 管理/経営 過程s ?relating to care of the 死んだ'.

Critics argue the 論争 is symptomatic of an 産業 which is unregulated in the UK and in 緊急の need of an 精密検査する.

現在/一般に, there are at least two 貿易(する) 団体/死体s with codes of ?practice, but 会員の地位 is not compulsory and 遺産/遺物 ?独立した・無所属 Funeral Directors is not 調印するd up to either.

Most 会社/堅いs are 井戸/弁護士席 run and 申し込む/申し出 a caring and compassionate ?service, but the 欠如(する) of regulatory 支配(する)/統制する can be easily 偉業/利用するd. One way, we have been told, is by sending a 団体/死体 for 火葬 but dividing the ashes between two different 始める,決めるs of (死が)奪い去るd ?親族s, thus 二塁打ing the £300 利益(をあげる) a funeral 商売/仕事 typically makes on each 火葬.

Such a practice can result in the '備蓄(する)ing of 団体/死体s' because only one 死体 is 存在 性質の/したい気がして of each time.

Crematoriums have only a ?確かな 量 of slots 利用できる on any given day.

More than 1,500 people whose loved ones were handled by ?Legacy have now contacted a dedicated police hotline set up in the wake of the raid

So, if a funeral parlour, say, has six 顧客s in a week ?requesting 火葬s of their loved ones, but only three are 現実に ?火葬するd, three 'extra' 団体/死体s will have to be 性質の/したい気がして of at a later date. To extrapolate the sequence その上の, over a ten-week period, the number of 'extra' ?団体/死体s rises to 30.

The 普通の/平均(する) High Street undertaker will usually only have 'three or four 団体/死体s' in their own ?霊安室 at any one time.

遺産/遺物 is run by married father-of-two Robert Bush. Mr Bush, whose wife is a retired teacher, opened the funeral 会社/堅い nearly 15 years ago and had three 支店s, two in 船体 and the other in nearby Beverley. On the 遺産/遺物 website, it 述べるs him as a '高度に trained funeral director, with many years of experience, 持つ/拘留するing 産業 recognised 資格s,' 追加するing: 'We pride ourselves on the 質 of our service and the personal support we 申し込む/申し出 our (弁護士の)依頼人s.' Funeral 一括s 範囲d from £970 to £4,999.

Mr Bush's daughter Saskya, 23, a mechanical 工学 卒業生(する), helped run the 商売/仕事.

'Each of you do an 優れた 職業, you should be proud of ?yourselves,' reads one of several glowing testimonials online ?賞賛するing staff in earlier times.

The family live in a big detached house in the 郊外s of 船体.

Father and daughter raced motorbikes in their spare time and are pictured in 活動/戦闘 at Brands Hatch and Snetterton on social マスコミ, where Saskya can also be seen soaking up the sun in Spain and Cape Verde and visiting Rome and Norway. 'It was 井戸/弁護士席 known that 略奪する might be struggling a bit financially,' said the director of another funeral 会社/堅い. '供給者s and tradespeople talk when their 法案s aren't 存在 paid.'

Some 顧客s complained about the 基準 of funerals when they popped into 隣人ing shops.

'A woman who (機の)カム in recently was just livid about her grandad's funeral,' 明らかにする/漏らすd one proprietor. 'The car was late, the flowers were not fastened 負かす/撃墜する 適切に to the 棺 and were not the ones they had ordered. Then, afterwards, the spread they paid for at the funeral parlour was really poor, おもに tea and 薄焼きパン/素焼陶器s.'

It was not an 孤立するd example.

A daughter 述べるd a 類似の experience at her father's funeral. 'I 手配中の,お尋ね者 a bit more spent on the flowers but they were just 偽の ones (一定の)期間ing out Dad that had been lying around.'

一方/合間, a 霊安室 fridge and 霊柩車s from 遺産/遺物, 同様に as other 所有/入手s, were up for sale on Facebook marketplace.

遺産/遺物's 財政上の predicament is (一定の)期間d out in accounts for 遺産/遺物 独立した・無所属 Funeral Directors, which are 延滞の.

Turnover has nearly halved from £142,555 in 2018 to £74,450 in 2022, with 宣言するd 利益(をあげる)s of £5,060 for the same year, the 最新の 人物/姿/数字s 利用できる. The 会社/堅い, which does not have any 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 資産s such as land or buildings, received its fifth public 警告 this month that it 直面するs 存在 struck off the ?Companies House 登録(する). All the 支店s have now の近くにd.

The Hessle Road 前提s has a troubled history. A previous, 完全に unconnected, funeral 会社/堅い based there, Heavenly Services ― ironically 指名するd, as it turned out ― was the 支配する of a 詐欺 調査 に引き続いて the sudden death of owner Simon Woolston in 2021, when the 商売/仕事 went into liquidation and hundreds of 顧客s who had paid for funeral 計画(する)s were left out of pocket.

The 発覚s now 現れるing about the funeral 産業 代表する a 大部分は untold story and will shock many to the 核心.

Those wishing to 追求する a career as an undertaker most 一般的に ?完全にする an 見習いの身分制度 with a funeral company but no formal education is 要求するd, though many undertakers have professional 資格s (such as a diploma in funeral arranging and 行政 or a 創立/基礎 degree in funeral services).

の中で the 親族s who would come to 深く,強烈に 悔いる walking through the 前線 door at Hessle Road is Leila Parker-Poland, 35.

Both her mother and father's 最近の funerals were arranged through 遺産/遺物. Both were ?problematic. Ms Parker-Poland was 最初 told her mum's ashes had been lost, then they were miraculously 設立する and 配達するd to her home by a member of staff but 重さを計るd いっそう少なく than the ashes of her dad, who was smaller than her. At his own funeral a year ?earlier, he had also been left, she said, in a 非,不,無-?refrigerated 見解(をとる)ing room for more than two weeks.

'Whose ashes have people got?' Ms Parker-Poland asked, a ?question that many 親族s are asking. 'There are a hundred things going through our minds. It is traumatising.'

Cassie Long's father died in March last year に引き続いて a long illness.

'We paid for a horse and carriage and a dark oak 棺 . . . with nice 質 扱うs,' Ms Long told the Yorkshire Live website. 'Our dad went through so much at the end of his life and we thought he deserved a good 質 service to 支払う/賃金 our 尊敬(する)・点s and honour.'

But while visiting the Chapel of 残り/休憩(する) in Hessle Road she and her sisters noticed their dad was not in the 棺 they had paid for.

They didn't say anything, she said, because 'we were all exhausted and traumatised by the experience we'd just 株d with our dad. We were in our most 攻撃を受けやすい 明言する/公表する . . . we just 手配中の,お尋ね者 it all to be over and for him to be at peace.'

Michael Fogg, who has been an undertaker in Sheffield for 36 years, has 公然と called for 広範囲にわたる 改革(する) of his 産業 and a (疑いを)晴らす regulatory 枠組み to 妨げる 未来 乱用s.

Some of those 影響する/感情d by the news in 船体 have 接触するd him. One woman he spoke to said the police had told her that the ashes she had thought were her late mother's final remains were in fact someone else's.

'This poor woman was utterly distraught,' he said. 'To lose your mother is hard enough, but to then be told you've been given the ashes of another 死んだ person is just horrendous.'

Mr Fogg told how he visited one funeral 会社/堅い ― a husband and wife team ― who had 始める,決める up in an 産業の 部隊 in his home city.

'I was horrified by what I saw,' he said. 'They had two 死体s laid out on 担架s in the middle of the 部隊 and there was no outside ventilation.'

He 追加するd: 'Until there is a ?regulatory 団体/死体 working to a ?regulatory 枠組み, we'll never have peace of mind.'

An online 嘆願(書) ― 'Stop Funeral Directors 偉業/利用するing Grieving Families' ― started by Jodie Langsford, from Birmingham, has now been 調印するd by more than 60,000 people.

'On the 23rd of April, my life changed forever when I lost my dad,' the introduction reads. 'As a family, we 信用d a funeral ?director with the honour of caring for my dad.

'But instead of looking after him, they left his 団体/死体 to 分解する, failing to 供給する even the most basic care. I didn't even get to say my final goodbye.'

In the wake of the most 最近の 主張s, Jodie, 34, said: 'My heart goes out to everyone in 船体 and everyone who's experienced this.'

The 35 団体/死体s 除去するd from the Hessle road 支店 are now を受けるing 身元確認,身分証明 at a 地元の 当局 霊安室.

Today, many 親族s will be anxiously waiting to find out whether the precious ashes they were given really were the final remains of a loved one.

Yesterday, police said they believed they had 接触するd all families of the 35 死んだ.

'It feels like I'm in the middle of a horror movie,' said one rela tive.

Albeit one that can't be switched off.
